LOL! I wouldn't read anything into that -- it was Main Street at fireworks time, remember. Personal space was pretty much non-existant.

Agree Kar2oonman! I have a list of LP'ers I said hi too but didn't get to really talk to like I would like to have...

It kinda sucks cause you want to be with your friends/family and you want to socialize and it gets crazy.

I was really grateful for those I did get to spend time with that I hadn't before, example: JustDuckee and DisneyChica.

VernaL, I'm glad you had a great time at DL and got to be without the grandkids.

I was a little concerned that you would leave eight young children with an individual with a fondness for special recipe lemonade, but that's just me.

I do have a favor to ask you for future trip reports though. As someone who claims to be a Disney fan and one who occassionally reads the boards, could you *please* learn the proper names of the attractions and Lands? It's the Matterhorn, not Snowy Mountain for heaven's sake. Frontierland is NOT Wild Wild WestWorld or whatever you called it.

I've restrained myself for a while mentioning this, but it finally got to me. If you saved a park map from your trip, please make copious use of it when writing your next report.

Thanks.

but but but ... even my godson calls it Snowy Mountain. Do I have to tell him too, to call it the Matterhorn?

It's so cute when he yells from the truck when we first get there...

"Look Nina, Snowy Mountain." Man, I almost tear up.

Say it ain't so mmaus1962. ;(

What's cute for a 5 year-old child who can't necessarily read a park map is very different from 60-something literate woman who expected to find William Shatner appearing in a Disney ride.

Verna, you remember mmaus1962 from the fireworks, don't you? She's very pretty with a real nice haircut, kind of quiet, but has a great laugh? She's the one who told you to put away the stupid notepad, stop humming along to the music, and quit your crying during the fireworks.

Just kidding. Actually, I don't even remember if she was at the fireworks with us that evening.

Jeez, mmaus! Critical much?

I think I understand, though. We each have our things that get under our skin.

For example, whenever I read on LP that someone made "ressies," my eyes bleed a little bit and my face gets all kinda scrunched up. What's so hard about saying you made "reservations"?! Sheesh! Do you sometimes email your co-workers, "I can't do lunch. My boss is making me give a pressie for the sales team"?! When you're in WaltDisneyWorld, do you sometimes catch a bus at the "Trannie" center?!

And "Disney." When I told people around here that I was at Disneyland, a lot of them would say, "Oh, yeah, we took the family to Disney last fall." Well, no, you didn't go to "Disney"!!! You went to DisneyLAND or Disney WORLD or to see Lion King or Aida or maybe you went shopping in New York at the WORLD of Disney, but you did NOT go to "Disney"!!! That one makes my ears bleed and my face get all scrunchy.

So I know just how you feel, mmaus. But I know that these people don't mean any harm by using these terms, and when you get right down to it, it doesn't hurt the rest of us that much. I mean, we've got -- what? like 12 quarts of blood in our systems? A little bit leaking from the eyes or ears now and again isn't going to kill us.
