With all due respect, Inspector57, and with a nod to your tendency to see the good in everyone and everything, I think the issue I raise is quite different that quibbling over shorthand for long words--Heinz.

But what I'm talking about here is someone who says she loves DisneyLAND (okay?) but then butchers the names of everything. Kartoonland? Jungleland? Puh-leeeze. Or maybe it's just something in the water in Montana.

>>What's cute for a 5 year-old child who can't necessarily read a park map is very different from 60-something literate woman who expected to find William Shatner appearing in a Disney ride.<<

I'm sorry, but that's going a bit too far.

I used to call the Skyway "The Buckets" all the time. If I did that on these boards, I'd probably get attacked for it because it wasn't on the official park map that way.

Anyway, I think we can cut someone who doesn't get to Disneyland all that often a little slack. Save the venom for World Events or something.

No, you wouldn't get attacked for it because this is--and I stress--a Disney fan website. "The Buckets" is a well-accepted euphemism for the Skyway. No other Disney fan I know calls the Tiki Room the Parrot Bird show or whatever.

And it's not venom. It's my opinion. I love Disneyland and it bothers me to see it abused in such a fashion. That's why I always make sure to give my "click" to Disneyland first every visit so the suits know just how much I love it.

Ugh. I'm so clueless!

I think it's a mistake to staart geting into the whole "true fan" vs. what isn't a true fan thing. Everyone experiences the park their own way, and if someone is a casual fan, they might not know the EXACT name for everything in the park. I always hear people confusing Goofy with Pluto and so forth.

I suppose, mmaus, your would also prefer we call you counselor instead of shylock.

Inspector, we can't use the word reservation. Seriously, we might offend our red-skinned friends.

And I just love the way so many of you are pretending this conspiratorial activity actually happened.

But, somebody should have clued in Daannzz that Steve hit on him on Main St.
