| LuvDatDisney Tue 8/23/2005 9:41p | Hotel looks great ... but I'm a sucker for new Disney resort, and having never visited TDL the fact it is similar to the Ambassador likely won't bother me.
Great pics, Lee.
Thanks.
What are the rates like? |

Did they really need to go that overboard on the Mickeys? I know that most of those shown were in Chef Mickey's which is just fine and dandy, but they are very distracting in every other part of the hotel. They take away from the other details.
Are those cool images in the room actually lights? It looks like they light up. That is nifty. I have never seen anything in a hotel like that before. IT would be a good way to brighten up (literally) all that stuffy artwork that is pretty common in every style of hotel.
I cant wait to see the gardens (though I wonder why anybody would pay to see those in the park when they can wander the massive hotel grounds for free). Is Disney eating away at their own business? |

I wish they'd tear down the Paradise Pier Hotel and build something like this as a "mid-range" Disney hotel in Anaheim. They've done a good job trying to update the Paradise Pier, but the bones just will never be right with that aging hotel.
This Hollywood Hotel looks fun and crisp and stylish. Well done Disney! |

"wish they'd tear down the Paradise Pier Hotel and build something like this as a "mid-range" Disney hotel in Anaheim."
I second that notion! |

Beautiful hotel though, you can just picture Carole Lombard hurling a vase at Robert Montgomery in those guest rooms, pure idealized 1935 deco. Looking forward to see the garden pics. |
