<<I cannot thank 'leemac' enough>>

No worries at all. I'm just glad people are appreciating them. It makes it worthwhile.

As far as the Mickey thing being overdone, I think I'll have to wait to see it in person before passing judgement. It's kind of difficult to get an overall sense of place from individual close-up pictures (leemac, keep 'em coming! We appreciate them). It's quite possible that in person, all of the Mickeys are not overkill.

<<So, are only registered hotel guests allowed to wander around the grounds of the hotel? >>

<<No idea as of yet. They may opt for the MiraCosta model when it first opened and prevented TDS guests using the hotel entrance to wander around (the OLC policy failed miserably).>>

Wait a minute, you mean TDS guests *CAN* use the MiraCosta entrance now?? I was there last month and went alll the way around from TDS as I was told it was the ONLY place I could get money from my international banking card that day since it was on a Sunday (Yeah, Disney did me in good that day draining all my cash. Good job Disney ;)).

Anyway, I didn't know this was okay now, but I just want someone to clarify it for me?

Dude, maybe. But unless they were trying to take photos of EVERY Mickey in the building, from those pictures, it doesn't look very subtle ;). I mean, the freakin SHAMPOO BOTTLES!!!

I have entered and exited TDS thru the Miracosta entrance several times and have never been stopped.

leemac- Another big thank you for the pictures. WOW!!! What an absolutely gorgeous hotel! It would be an absolute dream of mine to stay there some day. I LOVE art deco style. And, by the way, for me - there can never be "too many Mickeys"!! I love 'em all, shampoo, melon, everything! Bring it on! Love it, love it, love it!! Yay Mickey!

I'm with you on that. For me, it's nice because it says "Disney" like nobody else can. If it didn't have any Mickey motifs, then it could be any hotel. The fact that Mickey is all over, puts the Disney stamp on it, and makes it unique. I think it's cute, and whimsical.

I like the Hollywood Hotel, but I could do without all those Mickeys. Likewise with all those rediculously sweet Mickey Mouse windows on the trains at TDR and HKDL. Me thinks that the Hollywood Hotel will be popular for families with lots of children.

<<< I mean, the freakin SHAMPOO BOTTLES!!! >>>

They're almost the same design as the ones that the Ambassador Hotel at TDR. The MiraCosta (as I expect the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel will have) has a more subtle and elegent design - a regular-looking bottle with a full-color drawing of Minnie in an old world damsel's outfit. How do I know this? Well, I have a bottle sitting right next to my monitor right now that I brought out from my personal collection of Disney shampoo.
