Just to clarify... I meant it would be nicer if he'd visited anytime in his life... Not on the 50th (what a 'zoo' that would have been).

And yes... No doubt it can be assumed that a PR person wrote the letter - Just like they do when Aunt Selma turns 100.

And yes... It's still a nice thing for the 50th to be recognized by the White House.

Reagan, JFK (I think), Nixon?

I remember seeing letters in the Walt Disney Story from Presidents.

^^And Eisenhower.

And I don't mean that Bush had to be in office at the time of a visit. SHEESH! *LOL* Disneyland's been there for 50 years... Plenty of opportunity!

Richard Nixon's daughters cut the red ribbon on the Monorail fleet at Disneyland when Nixon was VP.

These days, if a president were to be shown at Disneyland, the photos would just be used as campaign fodder from opponents as a way to ridicule the president.

wonderingalice,
I get your point....

My question was which Presidents visited Disneyland ever, either before-during-after their initial Presidency; I was just using the title as a measure of respect...

and so far we have four Eisenhower, JFK, Nixon and Reagan... any others?

(Ronald Reagan, before he was President - or even California Governor - broadcasted Opening Day; did he visit the Disneyland after that?)

Those are the only ones I'm aware of (and I'm not certain about JFK) because I've seen them in the 25th Anniversary Disneyland Pictorial book. :-)

All times are Pacific Time (US)
