Wed 1/18/2006 7:46a | I'm slightly irritated that my dad called me yesterday telling me he'd be in town on Feb 8th - 10th and asking me me if I'd be around to meet his new girlfriend. I'm irritated because 1) I'm going to WDW that whole week and I KNOW I've told him about it multiple times because I've told EVERYONE. And 2) because in the 2+ years I've lived here the only other time my dad has ever come to visit me was when he brought another lady friend with him to Disneyland last year. I mean its cool he's going to Disneyland but can't he ever just come to visit me and not because his girlfriend wants to go to Disneyland? I feel like an after thought. |

Wed 1/18/2006 8:00p | I know how you feel, Tiggirl. My dad does stuff like that to me all of the time. I've given up trying to have anything but a cordial relationship with him. Yesterday I realized that I forgot to send him a card for his birthday a few weeks ago. Totally zoned it out. Oh well, he forgot to send Warner's birthday card this month too.

Thu 1/19/2006 7:28a | Its an odd habit of mine to spell things correctly when I'm upset. LOL! I'm not too sure how that works. Thanks for the kind words guys. One more quick vent.... He works for an airline so he can fly down to visit me for free and he gets 5 weeks of vacation now. Grrr. On the bright side (am I allowed to look at the silver lining here? LOL) he HAS given Mark and myself tickets to visit him twice so I guess I can't be too mad. But I can still be a little mad. |

I am sooo tired. It's pathetic! I usually get a nice dose of adrenaline when I have to get up early and am doing something fun but today, not so much. I am so sleepy. I really do want to whine about it. |

Mon 1/23/2006 5:05p | Beautiful sunny day today. I go to admire the new skylight the electrician has just put in. As I gaze in horror, water starts pouring in around the edges.
I didn't have time for somebody to even try to explain to me why they were putting water on the roof. I think I went into convulsions.
The floor underneath is all ripped up and part is open to the garage below, where we live. Of course my expensive Swiss sewing machine was right under the waterfall.
This remodel is giving me an ulcer. |
