Sat 2/11/2006 12:56p | Thanks Lillibelle, pleased to report that I heard today I have passed the interviews, but still have to wait till next week to find out whether they're offering me a permanent or 2 year contract.
My big complaint? They knew yesterday, but instead of ringing me and speaking to me, I was sent a text message!! I didnt have my phone switched on as I wasn't out, so didn't know till I arrived at work this morning and my line manager was applauding me!!!! Do these people not know this is my life they're messing with?!?!?!
PS. Lillibelle, sorry the biopsy hurt, but I will be thinking good things for the results and am sending you a great big hug to make it better :) |

As some of you know I've had to interview for my own job, as the company is making IT into it's own company, alledgedly to provide better service, actually to cut head count, but that's another matter. Anyway I got the results from my interviews last week, and I'd passed with flying colours. Yesterday I was told I was only being offered a 2 yr contract, as I didn't have the correct skill sets!!! This wouldn't be so annoying, but at least 2 other people with exactly the same skills set as me have been offered permanent contracts. I am disappointed, disillusioned and more annoyed than I can possibly express. I will take the 2 yr contract, as it gives me time to sort stuff out, but I really don't want to be working for this company any more. Oh yes, and I am also going to be speaking to senior management for an explanation as to how I have the wrong skills set for a permanent position when others with the same skills have the right one.
Watch this space, I expect to be here a lot over the next couple of weeks/years! |
