I know this is the whiny-cry baby thread, but I wanted to say........

the dog is okay!! Woohoo! He's back with his owner. An anonymus couple had offered a $1000 reward and the guy who found him (the dog was scratching on his door) refused to take the reward. Now tell me there aren't good people in this world, eh?

Harry Potter in IMAX in Seattle is sold out for when I'm there! How dare they! Who do they think they are! Don't they know I'm flying into town just to see it in IMAX! (well not really, but this IS the Whiny-Butt Crybaby Thread afterall)

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

(don't you just hate seeing a grown Jedi whine!)

*Sigh* OK, here's the recap of my terrible, awful, no good very bad day.

- 5:00 a.m. I get up to find my husband, who should be at work, coming in our front door. His car is gone. I walk downstairs in my pajamas and, yup, it's gone.

- 5:10 Police get called, the car has been towed due to abandonment. It was towed last Friday but since I was out of town and he was using my car, he didn't notice until today. Keep in mind he drove it last Thursday, it is registered and insured.

-5:15 Have to throw on clothes and take the hubby to work.

- 5:20 Call my dad and start crying, thinking of all the hassle of getting the car back, paying the fees, then trying to take whoever towed it to small claims court to get our money back.

-5:50 Get to school, discover I'm getting yet another new student. Begin thinking about installing a rotating door on my classroom, I have so many withdrawing and enrolling.

- 6:10 Copy a huge stack of the wrong paper, using up precious copy paper.

- 6:30 Munchkins arrive for morning tutoring.

- 7:10 Most pointless and boring meeting ever.

- 7:40 The cramps begin.

- 7:45 All students, including new one here and noisy!

- 9:00 Our guest speaker is dressed in pilgrim costume showing slides to our first graders. For an HOUR and FIFTEEN minutes. Keep in mind these are six year olds.

- 10:40 Lean Cuisine for Lunch is highly unsatisfying.

-11:05 Call hubby and find out that our car was mistakenly towed and we will not have to pay to get it back. Hubby's grandpa is going to go take him to get it, crisis averted.

-1:30 Take the kids to music, come back in a find poo on my floor. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I said poo. I call the custodian and make her come clean it.

- 1:40 In the music room, trying to figure out who had the problem which resulted in poo on the floor. Walk around the students as the dance, trying to discretely smell them all. Alas, nothing smelled and the poo remains a mystery.

- 2:35 Finally time to go home!

- 3:00 Contentedly reading LP when hubby comes home looking very unhappy. The tow people broke his car. Somehow it doesn't lock when the gear goes into Park so his key won't come out of the ignition. Of course, they take no responsibility for it. They took our car illegally, jimmied open the locks, and broke stuff.

- 4:30 I'm starving, nothing good in the house. Of course hubby ate with his grandparents already. I drag him out with me to get food.

- 6:00 Hubby goes to bed early, leaving me no choice but to do some homework.

I'd say that at least tomorrow HAS to be better. But when I said that my day couldn't get any worse earlier today, I found poo on the floor five minutes later....

*sigh*

Okay, I gotta admit that's a rough day.
((hugs))
At least you didn't step in the poo.
Just trying to be positive. :D

You need the Mellow Room my friend.

RE #35

Maybe you need the Virtual Happy Hour Thread, too.

Get some rest, dear. Tomorrow *will* be better! :-)

I believe I'd be hauling a tow company into court. Please keep us up to date, LVBelle.

I will! We are most likely going to take them to small claims court. His grandpa is supposed to be getting some information about it for us so we can get things started. Our apartment complex is going to give us documentation that they did not have permission to take the car. Hopefully that will help at least a little bit.

And, thanks, dumpling and Lilli, I've already hit both of those threads. Now I'm drinking a glass of wine and feeling a bit better.

I'm soooo sorry you had such a terrible day but that paragraph made me laugh so hard the guy in the cubicle next to me asked me if I was ok. I sincerely hope today is a much better one for you!
