Well, it happened. I was bullied into stepping out of the wedding. I am SO not happy with the way it all went down but I do understand their concerns and, after all that was said, I don't feel as though I should participate. Not because I can't but because I don't wanna deal with all of this nonsense anymore.

My cousin and uncle are offering to buy me a new dress for the wedding and to still involve me somehow but I can't say it didn't hurt the way it all happened. I pretty much spent all morning crying but I'm trying to handle this all gracefully so that my cousin still has the wedding of her dreams.

On the bright side, I told my husband that I wanted to go shopping for the baby so we went and got a crib, changing table, and dresser plus a new table for our dining area and a locking cabinet for our DVDS, CDs, and gaming systems so the rugrat won't get into it all. I'm happy to say that the retail therapy worked and I was even able to talk to my cousin over the phone without crying. And this way I'll be able to spend more time with my family who will be in town instead of messing with getting my hair done and doing the bridesmaid stuff.

Well, I say phooey to them! Good grief! You know, something is wrong when a wedding has to be such a, oh shoot, I don't even know the words to use. Heavenly days, let her have her old stuffy wedding; she can't even include you, her cousin?? That stinks.

But you know what? You will probably have way more fun anyway. Who wants to participate in a wedding where the bride is all me, me, me. If she can't accept you pregnant and all in her wedding, then so be it.

Well, LVBelle, that just makes me mad. Bless your heart.

I still think you are better off, like you said, to enjoy the time with family and let them ooooo and aaahhh over your pregnancy.

Thanks trailsend! The more I think about it, the more relieved I am in a way. I have much less to be responsible for in the next few weeks and I won't have to go running around like crazy trying to get it all done when I'm just exhausted anyway. I'm still mad at how the whole mess went down and I think my uncle was kind of a jerk with the way he handled himself on the phone but I'll get over it.

:) There's a little evil part of me that hopes that one of the other bridesmaids (preferably whoever replaces me) faints or throws up or something. Or even better, if my uncle did. "Who gives this woman to be married?" "Her mother and I *barf*" Evil and wrong, I know, but the thought of it keeps me from crying! :)

hi all,

LVBelle, youre pregnant for goodness sakes, not ill!! THis makes me soooo mad. Can I ring your Uncle up please?? I loved my wedding because it was so informal, I had a great day. I think if everything is planned to the last letter you just know somethings not going to go quite as you expected, if you just go with the flow, it will be much more jolly. It's just so silly in my opinion! GGGGrrrrrr. ( Here's to your Uncle barfing!! )

Pete, what a horrid situation to be in. Would you have to get a morgage or something? how do people find that kind of cash?? ((hugs)) hope you work something out.

Stef, hope you settle into your place quickly. Yeh to new windows!!

my ex flatmate went to the flat today to pick up the rest of her stuff and the bathroom had been pulled out. ha ha. but she owes me for the gas and the rent last month but she says shes only giving me £200 as i owe her for the electric and TV. the gas alone was £270 and the rent that she owes is £250 so tell me how on earth does she owe me just £200, i cant work it out. i know im thick but not that much
