If I do come play, I will feel soooooo guilty though. Really. I'm talkin' about making up for an entire summer of slacking off of gardening and I have only Saturday/Sunday to do it.
Let me mention it to CK, and barring any biting off of my head, I'll let ya know what he says. :)

Right - so. I asked CK what he thought about going to see a movie tomorrow and he told me to go for it! Which makes it even harder to say I can't.
I have absolutely zero motivation to pull weeds in freezing cold weather, but the yard looks bad. Really bad. We've got a Jungle Cruise - but not in a good way - thing going. In a "we might be cited by the city for having weeds too tall for the local ordinances" kind of way.
But hey! If the ground is frozen and I can't do it, I'll have no choice but to crash the party, right?!? :) |

Sat 11/19/2005 5:55a | Ok, I've been following pennyring's dilema ~ have fun or pull weeds. Now, I'm not geographically located where you are. But I was wondering, can you just cover those weeds up with a bale or 2 of pine straw?? Make it look like a bed? I mean if the ground is frozen, you can't pull them. Visualize a little boundary and wha la ~ a pine straw bed!! (Or whatever is used in your area) Unless of course, it's too large an area.
Then, for what it's worth ~ go have fun. |

Sun 11/20/2005 12:27a | Oh believe me, the roundup is for the driveway!! I don't want to use it in the flowerbeds tho cuz it'll kill the good flowers with the weeds. (There are still pansies, a few daffodils and ummmm shoot I forget the name of the other ones, still alive.)
I ended up removing 24 gallons of weeds from the front flower beds today. How do I know? Cuz it filled the 12 gallon garbage can twice. And I'm still not done. Ugh.
Hope everyone had some great pizza and a fun movie! Can't wait to hear about it -- has to be more interesting than weed pulling. :) |

And even more importantly, Why have I not even started any of these projects yet and it's almost 8 pm?
I'm thinking the teachers at Linnie's school are going to get rolls from Safeway for their "Staff Appreciation Lunch" tomorrow. They will also get a stick of butter on a paper plate instead of little acorn or cornucopia shaped pats of butter.
Oh boy! 4 more days of cooking to go! Woohoo! |
