Thanks! I tell you it is quite amazing. Plus the story of how it came about it really one of discovery and luck.

I should point out that a sentence doesn't make sense (all my fault). It just finishes "Oakland's" when talking about the next stop. I couldn't read my own writing from the notes that day and because of the holiday wasn't able to confirm the name of the museum that will carry the exhibit from Spring to September. I should get that sorted next week.

I've just gone right through it again, IMHO the best laughingplace article in ages! Great stuff, and like you said, the artwork from Disneys America was fascinating.

^^ The fact that all of this original artwork was provided by WDI is quite remarkable. The entire project was driven by Tom Fitzgerald and Marty Sklar and they deserve a lot of credit for assisting the Henry Ford.

Great article and pictures! Thanks, Lee!

Do you have a list of venues where the exhibit will be traveling to after Oakland?

Thanks brotherdave!

Nothing has been signed yet for the other locations. There has been a lot of interest from Mid-Western towns (I'm sure Marceline is one). The exec team are keen to ensure it travels throughout the US. I would presume it is fairly portable by the design and the type of artefacts displayed so hopefully a lot of people will get the chance to see it.

The entire show was conceived for touring hence why the Henry Ford opted to only run it for 3 months at their campus. Additional stops will be up to 9 months though.

I'm kind of surprised DL didn't keep more of this stuff for their own Opera House exhibit!

Cool article. Are they planning and east coast stop?
