Fri 1/13/2006 10:02a | I am just curious to know if anyone abhors SpectroMagic as much as we do. My strong dislike may be a bit hard to understand if you never saw "Disneyland's Main Street Electrical Parade" (Glad they brought it to DCA, but it's not quite the same without Main Street). But I just hate, hate, hate SpectroMagic and was wondering if anyone else, had the same adverse reaction if they saw the Eletrical Parade before seeing SpectroMagic. SpectroMagic always strikes me as cheap and disjointed. Thoughts anyone? |

Fri 1/13/2006 10:12a | I love this parade! Yes, I have also seen the Main Street Electrical Parade, too and I have to say that I honestly love them both! I prefer the music of Spectromagic over the MSEP. But, I'm no impartial judge - I love EVERY Disney parade! |

Fri 1/13/2006 10:21a | Truth be told, I really don't like Disney parades in general. Only a few have I truly enjoyed by themselves... Lion King Celebration at DL, the Mulan Parade, Mickey Mania at the MK in WDW. Recently I saw the Block Party Bash at DCA, and I really enjoyed that also. I guess what has set these parades apart in my mind is the perfomance aspect they had, or in the case of Mickey Mania, the singleminded way they portrayed the Mickey and ONLY Mickey... very whimsical!
What I enjoy about all the other parades is not the floats or the characters. They're pretty forgettable to me. No, it's seeing the wonder and joy on the faces of the children watching. There is only one other thing that I really love in all the parades: the toy soldiers in the Christmas parade. :) |

Fri 1/13/2006 11:17a | I NEVER like Disney parades. Until someone talks me into sitting and watching them. I always enjoy them, but on my own, I just don't fit them into my schedule. Weird, I know, just one of my things.
Spectromagic, to me is not as good as MSEP. But when I am sitting on the ground next to a spilled tub of overpriced popcorn with little kids on their feet next to me, with fiber optic, LED, and laser lights in their eyes all aglow.... it somehow works for me. |

Fri 1/13/2006 12:06p | I am not a parade person -- however MSEP is my all time favorite. I have seen it at WDW and DL.
Now Spectromagic, I certainly would not say I love it, must do it each time etc.--- but I admit, the lights i the dark with a cold diet coke and some popcorn and I am Ok with it. |
