I'm excited to say that circumstances will find me in Florida the first full week of May. Unfortunately, I will only have one, count 'em ONE, day to indulge my Disneyland obsession. I have never been to WDW and have no idea what to do in one day. Any suggestions? It'll be me, DH, DD and DS (7 & 8). Thanks guys.

One day...How many hours? Pre-purchase tickets. Do they sell one day Hoppers? Good Luck. Plan to arrive early to park the car at the TTC (Ticket Transport Center) Take ferry to the MK walk down Main Street to say Hello to Walt and Mickey walk thru the castle enter Fantasyland to see Mickeys PhilHarmagic. Take the train around the Mk. Exit the MK to the Monorail to Epcot. You will have to switch monorails at the TTC for one that is direct to Epcot.Walk around the world exit behind France take boat to MGM. I suggest Indiana Jones show or the Little Mermaid show.Lunch at the SCI-Fi Dine In or PrimeTime.Exit take bus to Animal Kingdom for Kilimanjaro Safari.Back to MGM for Fantasmic. You can determine specific age appropriate attractions for your family. If you just plan to "visit" you can park and take the ferry or the monorail to check out the hotels.I don't think any resort
id is necessary. The hotel lobbies and pools, restaurants, gift shops are interesting for a one day trip. Can you give us more info to help you?

If I only had one day at WDW, and I'd been to Disneyland, I'd go to Epcot. If I hadn't been to Disneyland, I'd pick Magic Kingdom.

Disney in a day... here ya go... READY? pick a day that MK is open the latest (probably 11 or 12). Start at AK and arrive EARLY... get on everest... from their head to kilamanjaro, then to lion king, then to tough to be a bug, then to dinosaur. Leave animal kingdom (if dont properly this should put you between 12 and 12:30). Head to MGM and grab a quick bite somewhere (sunset market?) Get Child Swap for tower and ride, then get child swap for Rockin Rollercoaster then ride. Head to muppets then off to star tours. Take your pick between lights motors action or Indiana Jones. If done properly this should get you out of MGM by 5 (6 at the latest). Head to epcot (dont take the boat, it takes too long). At EPCOT hit soarin ONLY if the line is 40 minutes or less. Mission space then Test Track if it's less than 40 minutes as well. Now you have to pick either illuminations or wishes. If you pick illuminations stay and watch then take the monorail to the ttc then on to MK... if you pick wishes, walk around world showcase a bit then head to the monorail at the start of illuminations. That should put you inside of MK by 930. Pick a few rides at MK (the park clears out pretty well after wishes) and catch a bit of spectro if you so desire.... viola, you've done 4 parks in one day. I do it about once a month just for fun and I've never really had much problems getting all the major attractions accomplished.... sort of...

That itinerary makes my head spin just thinking about it.

Yea...While it sounds like fun and all. you have to realize youre also dragging two young kids (and with that itinerary, you would end up dragging them sooner or later!)

My advise is pick the attractions you want to do the most, put it ina list starting with your highest priority. Then let us know what you dont want to miss!!

My kids are totally used to doing Disneyland commando style. They are as hard core as I am. We are at Disneyland when it opening and almost always close it down and they love it. So I am totally okay with any suggested itinerary - super low key or hyperspeed - I just appreciate the brainstorming! Keep it comin' please.

Splurge on a personal Disney tour guide. They'll take you around in a limo and back-door you on any and all the attractions you want to experience. I have no idea how much this costs, but some friends of mine won such a tour once and invited me and my parents along. It was AWESOME. :D

^ It is is only $125 an hour with a five hour min. ;) You do get to take up to 10 people but it is certainly too rich for my blood.
