We are currently on our vacation at DL. My sister called and she has to come to Irvine from Bakersfield for work next weekend and wants to meet us for dinner on Friday night. Since it will be our last day in the park, I know the boys won't want to go to far for dinner so our plan is to eat in one of the hotels or in DTD. But being on a friday night, we would prefer someplace we could get a reservation and not have to wait all evening. At this late point, that is proving to be a problem. I can get a reservation for Goofy's kitchen at 8:30 pm. My sister at there with my brother and his family last month and they hated it. We ate there Sat. and loved it. But my brother's family ate there late at night also and I wondered if that was the problem.

Has anybody eaten there at 8:30 pm before? Was your experience/food good or bad? Did you feel rushed?

We can get PS for Hook's Pointe at 7:15pm. We've never eaten there but looking at reviews, I'm not sure it would be worth the money for my boys. It probably wouldn't cost any or much more than goofy's but it wouldn't be as much fun.

We ate there well past 8 PM last summer (July) and had a great time. Food was constantly coming out fresh and hot, the characters were still out in force, and the servers were as attentive as always. So - to answer your question - YES! It's worth going there after the family crowd has mostly cleared out.
