| I am Sancho Wed 4/19/2006 12:20p | garden was decimated last week- go for tower- you will either have a baylake view with a shot of EPCOT amd Tower of Terror, or a MK view- either way is good- Baylake view has the morning sun.. |

| junglejoy Wed 5/3/2006 11:00p | So when will the garden bldgs be done? We're supposed to stay there in Sept and the garden room was a strech for us - there's no way we could do the tower. Should I switch to POR? We're a family of five so that's the only moderate we can fit in. |

All the hooting and hollering at 7:00 a.m. breakfast will surely wake you up! I learned from experience staying there. We did have a beautiful MK view. The castle stays lit all night. I slept with the drapes open. |

The only place I have ever been tempted to stay in was the Contemporary but unless I had an upper floor room overlooking MK I would never spend that kind of money. I have not made any attempt because I have heard so many times that they "do their best but can't always deliver". If I got there and then couldn't get what I requested, I'd probably go postal and start setting mouse traps all over the property. Anyone have any experience in that situation? The rooms, not the mouse traps. |

You make your special request when you make your original ressie. Then you fax the resort three days before check in.
Then, check in early the day of your arrival.
If 100 people request a room in the same area, and there are only 10 rooms available, the first 10 people to check in will get those rooms. If you get there at midnight, don't think your room request will be honored.
But from what I've read on Lp.com, most people get what they ask for.
Also, my friend's daughter and family tried a moderate hotel last year for the first time. They usually stay at All Star Movies.
My friend's daughter didn't care for the moderate resort they booked, so on the second day they moved to All Star Movies and were refunded the difference between the moderate and the value resort.
So, if you book the Contemporary and don't get what you want, you can always request to switch resorts. |

I don't know the room number, but it stemmed from a mixup at the Polynesian that we were moved there and free to concierge level. It was AWESOME after dark! Talk about magical...
hehehe yeah that kind of magical too now that I re read this post... ROFL |
