I have a 2-day park hopper WDW ticket plus with an additional DisneyQuest day on it that I bought with a convention price of about $100. We were neve rable to use it when we went on our trip last November and it expired Dec 31st, 06. Is their any way I could explain this to Disney and be able to use it this year or just add the $100 I already applied to the ticket for an upgraded 10-day Park Hopper? I know they hate making ticket changes they don't normally do but It was just last Nov and all I really want to do is apply what I paid to an upgraded ticket to spend more time at WDW. WHat do you guys think?

Asking here won't get you anywhere, ask Disney. In other words, it can't hut to ask, but they are within their rights to refuse you (but another poster had a simliar situation with a used ticket, and they accomodated her.)

^^good advice. Call Disney.

But, I wouldn't hold your breath. They make you pay an extra fee to add the "no-expiration" option for a reason.

Do you mean it expired December 31 2005? Because if it's 2006, it's still good.

Well.. last time I checked, "expired" meant finito, you are done, no siree... But with Disney hungry for mo' money...you never know.

Disneyland does not accept expired tickets, I can tell you that much. That said, they will generally apply the purchase price towards the purchase of whatever equivalent passport they are currently selling. That, however, is an exception made on a case to case basis. Expired means expired and the passports are definitely not accepted outright. I think the other poster that trekkeruss might be thinking of was the one with unused days left on an unexpired WDW hopper and she wanted to use the day at Disneyland? If not, I stand corrected and I'm sorry!

I guess the overall point of my post is that WDW might accept it towards the purchase of the equivalent passport, but they don't have to make that exception. I'd call them and ask for a vacation planning manager.

Wow, tons of good tips and info from you guys. Thanks alot! I feel very confident I can get someone at DIsney to just apply the value to a 06 ticket upgrade. To me, that would only make since because If I can't upgrade Disney will ultimitely not make as much cash from me and my family as they could if they choose to allow me to upgrade for our next near future trip. Plus, I would be atleast somewhat un-satisfied that they would not be able to accomidate me. And even though I understand rules are rules for reasons sometime unknown, to not help me with this particular accomidation just would'nt make good sense for Disney. That said, I have confidence I will find someone who will make an acception for me to spend more days at WDW.
