When that happens, I make extra sure I'm drinking my water and doing my best at making it to the gym. I need to, because my other option - and the one I give into more often than not - is to say, well it's not working, and then to binge. Something a girlfriend told me that I've sort of adopted as a mantra is "no one shoves that food in your mouth but YOU". That usually stops me from reaching for something I shouldn't have. Good luck! we're right behind you.

I always carry some sort of fruit with me to work. Bananas and oranges are my favorite snacks. Apples are good, too.
I also like the South Beach Diet brand of snack bars. They are a little bit bland tasting, but have a good protein content. |

South Beach has these great wraps! My favorite is the chcken caesar and it comes with plenty chicken, parmesan cheese, and light caesar dressing on wheat tortillas (and you get enough of everything to make two wraps) and for dessert, a cup of sugar free jello...and the whole meal is 230 calories! and it fills you up! |

If you get your blood pumping first thing in the morning, it will speed up your metabolism for the rest of the day. It also gives a good energy boost that lasts all day long -- less tendency to get sleepy mid-day.
I run 3-4 miles on the treadmill every morning, Monday - Friday. I try to get started before 6 AM so I can have everything wrapped up before I head to work. It makes a big difference. When I have to skip the morning routine and exercise in the afternoon or evening, I always notice how much less energy I have during the day. |
