| TiggerPooh1973 Tue 8/15/2006 9:39a | Good job RAM1984!
I've been doing good at sticking to my 5 days a week on the Treadclimber. Yesterday I did almost a mile and a half. |

I wish I liked fish. That would be half my battle right there. Can't stand it!
But, bringing your food in the car is a great way to cut down on calories. I do it even at Disneyland. It's a lot cheaper, too. |

| RAM1984 Tue 8/15/2006 10:37a | Thanks for the kind words everyone. I have been at this point before and slipped back but I really feel inspired for some reason. My loss has been slow but when I got on the scale to come up here I weighed a full 11 lbs less than when I headed up here in February. My best to all!!!!!!!! |

| LacyBelle Tue 8/15/2006 3:08p | Great job, RAM1984.
Choosing well when eating out is difficult.
My update: I lost 4 lbs during the first week, but I know that's high because it's a week one thing. I know it will slow down to 1 to 2 lbs per week as I settle in. If I'd made better choices when we ate out over the weekend, I might have done even better.
Keep up the good work, all. |

| RAM1984 Thu 8/17/2006 10:30p | I met my first real challenge on this trip. We went to Buca du Beppos(sp?) tonight. I knew we were so I ate really light all day. Also, we were at the water park so I swam several extra laps and with all the running around with the grandkids I am sure I burned up some extra calories. I swore I would have only one plate of food and I did that. I ate green beans and broccoli and with the diet I have been on couldn't finish the whole thing. My one big no-no was a coffee and alcohol drink. Caffeine and alcohol, shame on me. (Not really, it was really good and I felt I diserved it.) But all and all I feel satisfied with my eating. I was dissappointed that no one ordered dessert as I would have loved one bite of something but everyone else pigged out and was too full. Thanks for being here for me to vent/confess. As always, my best to all. |

| LacyBelle Tue 9/12/2006 4:56p | Wow! I had to go back almost 200 topics to find this.
A comment that 999HAUNTS made in the "DLR Attractions Checklist" topic reminded me of this one.
How's everyone doing?
How did you fare on your trip North, RAM1984?
I've managed to lose 11 pounds so far. Without a couple of setbacks I could have done better, but it's a marathon, not a race. I have about 20 more to go until I evaluate whether I can stop there or need to lose a few more. |

| RAM1984 Tue 9/12/2006 6:30p | Thanks for bumping this LacyBelle. I did not want to cuz I did not want to admit that I have been doing poorly. The trip went really well but when I got home it got rough again. Don't really know why. I know depression plays a big part. Thank you for saying it is a marathon not a race. Then the setbacks don't seem so bad. I will be on in a few days to report that I am better. |

| 999HAUNTS Wed 9/13/2006 8:01a | Aren't we a funny bunch?!?
I didn't want to bump this topic because I started it, and I have GAINED 2 pounds!
I had such a great weekend in Las Vegas I think I ate/drank everything in sight. It was sooooo hot and those margaritas are sooooo cool. And McDonalds is so quick to stop at when your main priority is watching those reels spin.
I am back on track now. Whoo hoo! |

That we are. I believe it is all part of the same condition. This morning I forced myself to get on the scale. I mean, when you cannot snap your pants you know you have gained. And it isn't even the weight gain that bothers me nearly as much as just not taking care of myself. Off the chocolate back to the veggies.

Eat breakfast in your room if you can (i.e. you have a fridge). Some fruit, cold cereal and yogurt if you can. |
