| officerminnie Mon 1/8/2007 7:44a | Has anyone ever joined Weight Watchers Online? I'm thinking about doing this, because it seems so much more convenient for me. Two years ago I joined a group that met at lunchtime across the street from my workplace. It was convenient in the sense that it was close, but I only get 1/2 hour for lunch, so I would just go and weight in, then leave (which was fine by me, because the meeting and comraderie part of it wasn't really why I was there -I just wanted to lose the weight and keep track of it all). But I felt bad not staying, because I'm sure the leader wanted people to hear what she had to say each week.
So I think I may join online. Any input? |

| tiggerdis_ Wed 1/17/2007 6:31a | Come on people, what about all the New Year's resolutions????
I'm finally on the weight loss track. So far this year I'm down 7 pounds.
I've started a competition with a girlfriend. We each get a point for a pound lost, and exercise done. Then at the end of the month the person with the least points has to buy something (cheap) for the person with the most points.
This month as well, we've decided we'll treat ourselves to a pedicure!
I hope this continues to work...
Good luck all. |

| Kennesaw Tom Wed 1/17/2007 6:36a | As of today I have lost 17 lbs since the begining of December. I am now down to 209 lbs. I am so excited! This is the first time in maybe 8 years that I have ever seen a zero after the 2 in 200 lbs.
My goal is to get down to 185 lbs.

| Kennesaw Tom Wed 1/17/2007 6:40a | Oh and I have been taking pictures too. I want to be able to look back and say, "that is me 45 lbs heavier". I can now get back into some of my old 34" waist jeans. I was so excited about my weight loss. That last sunday I went out and bought a new Steston!

>>I was so excited about my weight loss. That last sunday I went out and bought a new Steston!<< Good for you. Some people tend to celebrate with a banana split or something.
I just came back from four days with my mom. I love visiting her cuz she is diabetic. (And because I love my mother.)When I am there I cook for her and eat like she eats. It feels so good.

| TALL Disney Guy Thu 1/18/2007 8:25p | That's awesome, Tom! I love your enthusiasm. I wish I had your willpower. I've never been overweight except as a baby (HUGE baby), but my tummy's pokin' out a bit more, and my underwear's a bit "snugger" (or is it just that they shrank a little the last time I washed 'em? A possibility)...
Of course it doesn't help that I *was* working out, but my gym's closest 24 hour branch stopped the 24 hour service just before Halloween, grrrrr. I'll have to amend that somehow.
You're a great motivator, Tom---keep up your success! |

| amazedncal2 Fri 1/19/2007 7:43a | I've jumped back on the WW wagon. I'm down 4 lbs and I'm faithfully journaling which is key for me.
My motivation is planning for a trip to DLR the end of April and I'd like to get in and out of the rides a little easier than when we went in December :)
One week, one lb. at a time. If I try to be too strict with myself I fall off the wagon with ease. |

| amazedncal2 Fri 1/19/2007 7:50a | officerminnie, I started ww before they offered online. It was called "at home" (maybe they still offer it) and I received all the booklets and info. in the mail. I could also call an 800 number for help. I'd imagine that the online ww is similar.
It works for me (well works if I stick with it) because I'm not a person who enjoys the motivational speeches or wants to have to be at a certain place at a certain time.
I'd think that the online method would work well for you, especially if you are already familiar with ww :)
