| Kennesaw Tom Mon 1/29/2007 4:23a | Yesterday, I got into my cowboy boots, stetson and fringed leather jacket. We headed out to Epcot. We started off at Canada for our lunch resevations. We each had a bowl of the cheddar cheese soup ( incredible ). Then had the main meal. I ordered the seared salmon and pear salad ( very good, I would order it again ). Then we walked around Epcot. Which was great. We did not to Soarin and will save that for another day. One member of our party had never been on Test Track so we did that in the standby line which went very fast. Around 4 pm we headed back to the AKL. We went down to Mara and I got some chicken and corn chowder ( good ) and a chicken ceaser salad ( extremely good ). I hit the hot tub and then around 8:30pm we headed over to the Magic Kingdom. On the bus we were talking with this couple from Los Vegas. DLR is their home resort. We were all talking about how much we liked the AKL. I told them about my experience dropping of that package for the Baloo's back in December. When the AKL kept denying the Baloo's were staying there. And I said... look I know they are staying in room 5555. And the couple we were talking to said, "Oh my goodness thats our room number at AKL". LOL small world!
Anyway, I just weighted myself and I'm back down to 203 lbs. So eating salads is paying off. I'm not starving but boy the food around AKL smells incredible. This am we want to head over to DTD for some shopping. Also one member of our party was a friend named Earl. So its kind of a joke for us to take pictures in front of the Earl of Sandwich, LOL. Our friend spoke on the phone with his buddy named Earl yesterday. I want to let my buddy try the hawaiian sandwich but he is jewish so he is reluctant to eat ham. The couple on the bus were saying that the grilled cheese sandwich as the Earl of Sandwich is incredible. So I'm not sure what I am going to try. AND I am on a diet.
Talk to ya'll soon! Wishes and Blessings from the Magic Kingdom! |

I'm impressed the weight is doing so well, I would have been frightened to touch the cheese soup, the calories in that glorious nectar from the north must be dynamite. |

Everyone in our party is being very careful about our weights on this trip ( because of me and my diet ). We brought disposable bowls, low fat milk ( KJ will NOT comsume skim milk ). So breakfast was Kashi shreded wheat with dried blue berrys and low fat milk. I did run down to Mara and got all of us hot chocolate this AM ( I'm such a great guy ). While at Mara tanking up at the hot chocolate dispenser I helped with wheelchair bound elderly woman get some hot water for her tea. There will be more walking around today. Oh and its 39 degrees here in case anyone is intrested. There are actaully people swimming in the pool right now. |

One of the things I really had to learn (and still sometimes forget) is that the food is not what makes a trip fun. The sights the sounds the family the friends etc. provide the fun; food is for nurishment so you can walk and walk and walk. Hope everyone out there is feeling well. My best to you all. My food today is really good and so is my attitude. I finally got out my juicer so I can get all the vegetables I need. I just don't do that well at eating them 3 times a day. |

I'm with KJ on that one! I just can't stand to drink that clearish, blueish, wateryish liquid. 1% tastes sooooo much better, and the fat content is not *that* bad. |

Non-fat is the only way to go, anything else is too creamy to be refreshing and should be saved for coffee, cheerios and making chocolate milk. |

| Kennesaw Tom Wed 1/31/2007 3:22p | Personally I like skim milk. I don't have a problem with it at all. I'm doing well here. Ate at Boma last night but was good. I had the salmon and veggies. My only downfall was chocolate everything for dessert. |
