| RAM1984 Sun 2/4/2007 10:30p | Glad to hear you did so well KT. I did not do as well as I would have liked today but not as bad as it could have been. No pizza but we went out for Hawaiian food and that is always greasy. I only ate half of it though. Then during the game I had a few of those, should be illegal, Cherry Hershey's Kisses. I do not feel like I set myself up for a binge and will eat totally "on track" tomorrow. |

Thanks Ram :) I'm feeling pretty good today - I've been pretty restrained over the weekend and even did some exercise! I do my "official" weigh on Tuesdays (tomorrow) so we'll see if I deserve to be feeling good or not, lol.
KT - good work! I find that the walking definitely helps, even if you're not being quite as disciplined as you would be at home (although it sounds like you were really good). I eat like a pig at Disneyland even when I'm supposed to be being careful (I only get there about every 3 years, so it can't do TOO much damage!) and I still find I'm about the same weight when I get home, because I'm doing so much walking. |

I want pizza so bad. The entire time I was at WDW I wanted pizza so bad. But I'm being good so no pizza. |

KT, I'm glad all your planning paid off. Sounds like you ate well and didn't gain :)
smedley, yes, please post a good for you pizza recipe :) I've never made pizza and it would be nice to be able to control what is put in/on it.
Ram, a new fast food type Hawaiian food place opened in our town. Thanks for the heads up, I'll wait a bit until we try it out :) |

Ingredients
1 medium red onion(s), sliced into thin rounds 1 medium eggplant(s) 1 whole garlic bulb 1 serving olive oil cooking spray, or enough to coat garlic 2 large wheat pita(s), split in half crosswise 1/2 cup canned tomato sauce 1/2 cup fontina cheese, grated
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 ºF. Coat a sheet pan with olive oil cooking spray and spread onions on it; set
aside.
Prick eggplant all over with a fork. Coat garlic bulb with cooking spray; wrap in foil. Roast eggplant
(unwrapped) and garlic (wrapped in foil) until very soft, about 45 minutes. Add onion to oven for last
20 minutes of roasting. Remove vegetables from oven and reduce temperature to 400 ºF.
Peel and mash eggplant; set aside. Squeeze garlic from its skin; set aside.
Set pita rounds on a baking sheet; spread each with some garlic. Top with tomato sauce,
eggplant, fontina and onions.
Bake until crisp on edges, about 15 to 20 minutes. Serve hot. Yields half a pita per serving.

| tiggerdis_ Mon 2/5/2007 5:06p | Well, I've been quietly monitoring this thread, because I didn't want to post too early, but since the beginning of January, I've managed to lose 12.5 pounds! Only 28 more to go. It seems like forever, but actually I don't think I've been starving myself, and I don't have the cravings. I love the Orville Reddinbacher Smart Pop and the Thinsations cookies. Those along with an apple and a cup of decaffeinated green tea, and I'm a happy girl!
Woohoo,keep it up all.
And, I think I'll try the pizza tomorrow, that's something I've been craving too! |

12 1/2 lbs since the first of the year is great tiggerdis :) |

| Tiggirl Mon 2/5/2007 8:15p | After all the holiday eating, I too have decided to hop on the "weight loss" train. I'm ready to have some energy and feel better about how I look. I am the kind of person who needs a goal and a deadline. So I've given myself 3 months to get to my goal of 120lbs... For a trip to WDW. Talk about great insentive! (Besides the obvious health issues). I've started a blog for me to keep track of what I eat and what I do each day to keep me accountable. ( http://120in3.blogspot.com/ ) I've been reading through here as well for great ideas and motivation. Keep up the great work!
