| Kennesaw Tom Fri 2/16/2007 4:27a | I endulged last night. I had a glass of red wine, chocolate ( KJ wouldn't let me eat a piece of chocolate cake he got yesterday ), honey roasted peanuts and pasta. I weighted myself this AM and I weight 200 lbs. I think nerves added to keeping any weight off yesterday.
Great job Dave! Lets all keep up the great work! |

| smedley Fri 2/16/2007 7:49a | I am still on the program, not walking today, as I'm making it one of my 2 days off a week, but the food choices are still good. I know I shouldn't have but I weighed myself this morning again (weighed for the first time yesterday) and my digital scales tell me I have lost three quarters of a pound, ok so it's hardly a huge amount, but it gave me a lift and told me I'm back on the right track again.
Hope all goes well at the doctor's Dave. |

| davewasbaloo Fri 2/16/2007 9:08a | I'm really mad at the doctor. I went in and he said it wasn't good enough. He insists I go in every 2 weeks (like I can find that time!!!) and take Orlistat fat pills (last time I tried these I have uncontrollable bowel probs and actually gained). I could finally weigh myself though (progress) - 355lbs, or rather 24st4 for the brits.
I came back very depressed, and Sarah measured me a couple of days early. I have now lost 1.5 inches from the neck, 4 inches from the chest, 2 inches from the biceps, 2 inches from my thighs, and 3.5 inches from my waste. So progress - but mad at the doc!!! |

| davewasbaloo Fri 2/16/2007 9:08a | This is after 4.5 weeks of calorie counting - now I also have to reduce fat and carbs. |

| knightnfrees Fri 2/16/2007 11:17a | dave, you're doing great! Don't let the Doctor get you down. You seem to be doing fine on your own. I'm very happy to hear you are at scale weight. :) If I were you, I'd continue doing what you're doing. Don't take any pills if you don't have to. You've been successful so far. March on, Dave! |

| Kennesaw Tom Fri 2/16/2007 1:36p | Dave your doing great! You should be so excited about your progress! Don't let the doctor bring you down. Heck my scale tells me I lost 26 lbs. My doctors scale measured only a 6 lb loss. Who cares. I know I have gone from a 36" waist to a 34" waist. And I still plan on loosing another 15 lbs. |

| tiggerdis_ Fri 2/16/2007 4:25p | Dave, try for another couple of weeks without filling the prescription. See what the doctor has to say at your next visit. If he's happy, then tell him you haven't been taking the pills! Surprise him. Prove to him you have been, and can continue to lose it on your own.
My weigh in isn't until Monday - but I'm hoping for the best, even though we had a very decadent Valentine's day dinner. I've been going to the gym a bit more in the hopes that it will compensate.
Good luck this weekend all. |

| RAM1984 Fri 2/16/2007 10:34p | >>take Orlistat fat pills<< NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! That is just my opinion but I would not touch those. Especially since they already gave you the "bowel" fun before. Just keep doing what you have been cuz it is obviously working. Congrats to all out there. We are all in this together and together we help each other. |

| davewasbaloo Sat 2/17/2007 1:18a | Best of luck at your weigh in TiggerDis. BTW Sarah pointed out to me that I missed a post about an envelope for Mikey? Sadly nothing has come through.
I know RAM - but the Doc is insisting I work harder as I am morbidly obese and my BP is way too high even on meds. Because of having to also watch fat, carbs, and sugars as well as Calories - we splurged last night and ordered in Pizza. At least we drank diet coke instead of fat coke. But I feel really guilty this morning. |
