| DyGDisney Thu 5/4/2006 1:15p | 999Haunts -- 6 pounds in the first week is TOTALLY normal. A lot of times we retain water, so when we start eating healthy, especially if we have a lot to lose, we lose a lot at first.
I lost 40 pounds on Weight Watchers 3 years ago, and have kept it off. If you have a hard time doing it yourself, WW is great because it teaches lifestyle change.
Way to go!!! |

Congrats 999Haunts. Usually the 1st week is the hardest for me. Once I get past that the cravings slow down and I want to keep feeling better. This is day 11 for me. I have stayed away from the scale (it depresses me) but I have lost over an inch from my waist. I hope everyone who has posted here is doing well. Keep checking in, it helps me. |

| amazedncal2 Thu 5/4/2006 7:40p | 6lbs!!!!! Way to go :) My mother in law used to keep a 5lb bag of sugar as her 5lb weight "measure". It's amazing to pick up a bag and realize that you have lost THAT MUCH! It's an odd but visual motivator and it works. Also less YUCK than Oprah's wagon of fat :P Congratulations:) |
