(apologies to 2oony - just trying to keep the dream alive while you rollerskate.) |

| friendofdd Sat 5/27/2006 12:06p | Jose could easily be a replacement name and, since we seem to be partial to ending our posts with proper names, I propose we, instead, use the name Cuthbert. |

| Pixie Glitter Sat 5/27/2006 2:28p | Dear friendofdd,
Thank you for your lovely and creative "Last to be First" topic. I'm a huge fan of yours, and I find that this latest offering from you does not disappoint. And that is really quite remarkable in light of the stellar quality of your previous threads.
If I may be so bold, might I offer a teensy-weensy suggestion? Does your esteemed self think that perhaps it might be acceptable for posters to use another tense or form of the last word to start the next post? For example, would it be kosher to take the word "stopper" above and begin a sentence with "stoppers"?
I await your decision with bated breath.
Most humbly yours, Pixie Glitter |

Dear Mrs Glitter
Thank you for your kind words. Apparently we belong to a mutual admiration society.
We already have an eight hour rule, although it has not yet been used. But you do raise an interesting point.
Therefore, after careful consideration, and a desire to make it possible for even dummies like me to continue posting in this topic, I make the following amendment to the rules.
Henceforth, it is permissible for the poster make use of the final word in the previous post in the plural or singular and in a past, present or future tense.
Hopefully, it will still be recognizable as the same word by we whom don't do two good at english proprieties and such.
Etc. |
