I'll definately buy a Wii. I'm not that crazy about the name either, but I'm a Nintendo loyalist. I love the quality of their games. Nintendo is the Disney of the videogame world, in my opinion.

I love the DS Lite and I'm reallly liking what I've heard and seen so far about the Wii. Just for the "Virtual Console" feature alone I'm sold, but then the whole motion sensing thing is icing on the cake.

Speaking of stupid Nintendo names, I'm still flabbergasted that the new Super Mario Bros game is actually called "New Super Mario Bros".

Will the next one be called "Newer Super Mario Bros", or will they change the name of the current release to "Old Super Mario Bros".

And speaking of the DS, I highly recommend Kirby's Canvas Curse. The entire game is played by drawing lines with the stylus to control where your character goes, I found it to be very unique and really fun.

Yeah BlueDevil, that's an idea, thanks...the only thing is I'd love a guaranteed "non-fussy" console. I wish they'd rerelease it in stores as like a "classic model" or somethin'. But that's somethin' to look into.

You'll be able to download old NES & SNES games (for a fee) if you buy a Wii.

I'm definitely getting a Wii. I was a litle dumbfounded when they first announced it, but I'm over it. I accept it because I'm excited for the console (name is unimportant). I'm a little nervous about it though. I hope it works the way they envision. Some of the demos during E3 were a little clunky looking (namely Red Steel). I'm really excited for Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros Brawl, and Disaster: Day of Crisis.

This looks like the only next gen console I'll be getting until PS3 is affordable.

BTW, I love the Nintendo DS. I'm getting my DS Lite on Sunday; preordered from GameStop. The DS allowed me to rediscover my love for Nintendo, which I lost after PS1 came out. Now, with the help of DS's ability to play GBA games, I'm catching up with all the games I've missed (Yoshi's Island, Superstar Saga, Yoshi Topsy Turvy). Oh, Mario Kart DS is a must.

Forget the name. The name, whether you like it or not, doesn't make the system bad. The games look AWESOME; there's a reason most think the Wii was best of show at E3 this year.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where you can battle Pikachu, Mario, Link, and even Solid Snake from the non-Nintendo game series Metal Gear Solid, and more... It's gonna be great. PLUS, the price for the system is rumored around $150. Compare that to the estimated PS3 cost of $500!

I'm also looking forward to Trauma Center: Second Opinion. It's a Japanese surgeon game for the Wii, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Nintendo DS game Trauma Center: Under the Knife.

Nintendo is also making Pokemon Battle Revolution for the Wii, which looks like it'll restore my faith in the franchise.

Oh, and the other Wii game shown, Ubisoft's Rayman 4: The Raving Rabbids looks hillarious too. :)

If i'm doing my math correctly: (USD prices used)

Wii - max price 250
360 Premium - approx 399
total = 649

PS3 = 599

Guess where my money has gone (well the 399 of it), and guess what else I'll be getting with it.

For me it boils down to Xbox 360 and Wii or PS3,
Sony has my money with the PS/2, and Playstation
Microsoft has my money with the Xbox and 360
Nintendo has my money with NES, SNES, 64, GC, GB, GBA

Nintendo will be my next console purchase.

I don't think Wii will be $150. That's $20 more than a DS Lite. I'm thinking $199 (where all other Nintendo consoles launched at) or $249.

Either way, I'm getting one at launch.

I'll probably get a Wii. It might be the only next gen system I'll get for a while.

And the NES and SNES are truly the best systems. I got a top loading NES that works perfectly! I love that thing. I also have all NES and SNES games on my computer and a flash card so I can put any NES (or Gameboy Advance) game on my gameboy advance.

I don't think they will be free. It's been stated that they will be less than $10, but most are estimating they will be $5-$10 per game.
