Ouija board
Would you work for me ?
I have got to say Hello
To an old friend

Ouija board, ouija board, ouija board
Would you work for me ?
I have got to get through
To a good friend
Well, she has now gone
From this Unhappy Planet
With all the carnivores
And the destructors of it

Ouija board, ouija board, ouija board
Would you help me ?
Because I still do feel
So horribly lonely

Would you, ouija board
Would you, ouija board
Would you help me ?
And I just can't find
My place in this world

She has now gone
From this Unhappy Planet
With all the carnivores
And the destructors of it

Oh hear my voice ("hear my voice")
Oh hear my voice ("hear my voice")
Hear my voice ("hear my voice")
Hear my voice ("hear my voice")
The table is rumbling ...
The table is rumbling
The glass is moving
"No, I was NOT pushing that time"
It spells : S.T.E.V.E.N

The table is rumbling
The glass is moving
"No, I was NOT pushing that time" :
P.U.S.H.O. double F.

Well, she has now gone
From this Unhappy Planet
With all the carnivores
And the destructors of it

I'll be your candle on the water
My love for you will always burn
I know you're lost and drifting
But the clouds are lifting
Don't give up you'll have somewhere to turn

I'll be your candle on the water
'Till ev'ry wave is warm and bright
My soul is there beside you
Let this candle guide you
Soon you'll see a golden stream of light

A cold and friendless tide has found you
Don't let the stormy darkness pull you down
I'll paint a ray of hope around you
Circling in the air
Lighted by a prayer

I'll be your candle on the water
This flame inside of me will grow
Keep holding on you'll make it
Here's my hand so take it
Look for me reaching out to show
As sure as rivers flow
I'll never let you go
I'll never let you go
I'll never let you go...

But since I was young, good Lord there's one spot
One little bit of Heaven on my tongue

Why it's...
Poddamaquassy, no, no...
Paquamasoddy, no, Passamamassy, uh, Quoddamapoddy
p...p...Passamadaddy, uh, Quoddamapassy, uh, Passamahoddy?
Oh, I know! It's Passamashloddy!

Townsfolk:
No, it's Passamaquoddy!

Pete:
He has the head of a camel,
the neck of a crocodile

Nora:
It sounds rather strange

Pete:
He's both a fish and a mammal
And I hope he'll never change
'Cause it's not easy
To find someone who cares

Nora:
It's not easy to find magic in pairs

Pete:
I'm glad I found him
I love him, I won't let him get away
'Cause it's not easy.

Nora:
You say the head of a camel
The neck of a crocodile

Pete: And the ears of a cow!

Nora:
It's clear that friends can be different
Yes, I understand you now

Both:
It's not easy to find someone who cares
It's not easy to find magic in pairs

Nora:
Now that you have him, hold him
Treasure him from day to day.
It's so easy.

Nora:
Life is lollipops and raindrops with the one you love
Someone you can always be with
Argue and agree with

Pete:
Climb the highest tree with.

Both:
It's not easy to share somebody's dream
It gets easy
When you work as a team

Nora:
You've got to tend it, fan it

Pete:
That's what I plan to do.
Oh, I had one friend by my side....
Now I have two...
Him and you...

Nora: Him and me...

Both: And it's so easy.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No not just for some but for everyone.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No, not just for some but for everyone.

Lord, we don't need another mountain,
There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers enough to cross,
Enough to last till the end of time.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some but for everyone.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No, not just for some, oh, but just for
Every, every, everyone.

I left, out of Tucson, with no destination in mind.
I was runnin' from trouble and the jail-term the Judge had in mind.
And the border meant freedom, a new life, romance,
And that's why I thought I should go,
And start my life over on the seashores of old Mexico.

My first night in Juarez, lost all the money I had.
One bad senorita made use of one innocent lad.
But I must keep on runnin'; it's too late to turn back:
I'm wanted in Tucson, I'm told.
Yeah, an' things'll blow over on the seashores of old Mexico.

Two Mexican farmers en route to a town I can't say,
Let me ride on the back of a flatbed half-loaded with hay.
Down through Durango, Palima, Palmira,
Then in the Manzanio,
Where I slept in the sunshine on the seashores of old Mexico.

After one long siesta, I came wide awake in the night.
I was startled by someone who shadowed the pale moonlight.
My new-found companion, one young senorita,
Who offered a broken hello,
To the gringo she found on the seashores of old Mexico.

She spoke of Sonora and swore that she'd never return,
For her Mexican husband, she really had no great concern.
'Cause she loved the gringo, my red hair and lingo:
That's all I needed to know.
Yeah, I found what I needed on the seashores of old Mexico.

Yeah, she loved the gringo, my red hair and lingo:
That's all I needed to know, ha, ha.
Yeah, I found what I needed on the seashores of old Mexico.

You can spend your whole life building
Something from nothin'
One storm can come and blow it all away
Build it anyway

You can chase a dream
That seems so out of reach
And you know it might never come your way
Dream it anyway

God is great
But sometimes life ain't good
And when I pray
It doesn't always turn out like I think it should
But I do it anyway
I do it anyway

This world's gone crazy
It's hard to believe
That tomorrow will be better than today
Believe it anyway

You can love someone with all your heart
For all the right reasons
In a moment they can choose to walk away
Love 'em anyway

God is great
But sometimes life ain't good
And when I pray
It doesn't always turn out like I think it should
But I do it anyway
I do it anyway

You can pour your soul out singing
A song you believe in
That tomorrow they'll forget you ever sang
Sing it anyway
Yea - sing it anyway

I sing
I dream
I love
Anyway

Who draws the crowd and plays so loud,
Baby its the guitar man.
Whos gonna steal the show, you know
Baby its the guitar man,

He can make you love, he can make you cry
He will bring you down, then hell get you high
Somethin keeps him goin, miles and miles a day
To find another place to play.

Night after night who treats you right,
Baby its the guitar man
Whos on the radio, you go listen
To the guitar man

Then he comes to town, and you see his face,
And you think you might like to take his place
Somethin keeps him driftin miles and miles away
Searchin for the songs to play.

Then you listen to the music and you like to sing along,
You want to get the meaning out of each and evry song
Then you find yourself a message and some words to call your own
And take them home.

He can make you love, he can get you high
He will bring you down, then hell make you cry
Somethin keeps him movin, but no one seems to know
What it is that makes him go.

Then the lights begin to flicker and the sound is getting dim
The voice begins to falter and the crowds are getting thin
But he never seems to notice hes just got to find
Another place to play,
Anyway got to play, anyway got to play.

I've been drivin' all night, my hand's wet on the wheel
There's a voice in my head that drives my heel
It's my baby callin', says I need you here
And it's a half past four and I'm shiftin' gear

When she is lonely and the longing gets too much
She sends a cable comin' in from above
Don't need no phone at all
We've got a thing that's called Radar Love
We've got a wave in the air, Radar Love

The radio is playing some forgotten song
Brenda Lee's comin' on strong
The road has got me hypnotized
And I'm speedin' into a new sunrise

When I get lonely and I'm sure I've had enough
She sents her comfort comin' in from above
We don't need no letter at all
We've got a thing that's called Radar Love
We've got a line in the sky

No more speed, I'm almost there
Gotta keep cool now, gotta take care
Last car to pass, here I go
And the line of cars drove down real slow (woah)
And the radio played that forgotten song
Brenda Lee's comin' on strong
And the newsman sang his same song
Oh one more radar lover gone

When I get lonely and I'm sure I've had enough
She sents her comfort comin' in from above
We don't need no letter at all
We've got a thing that's called Radar Love
We've got a line in the sky
We've got a thing that's called Radar Love
We've got a thing that's called Radar Love

The elusive butterfly has just tip-toed past my door.
My buddy likes the Yankees. She says, "Hey, T-Bone, what's the score?"
And I say, "Well, Reggie got 1 and 1 in 3 and 25 is 6 to 4."
Is the left wing really pinko? Colonel Sanders, what a bore.
You ask so many questions. What answers should I choose?
Is this schizoid paranoia, or just existential blues?

The amenities of life have been chasing my soul,
And my mind is transcendental and I'm losing all control,
And I'm sinking in the quagmire of illusions and Thoreau.
I cry out, "My name is T-Bone," as a hound dog digs a hole.
You ask so many questions. What answers should I choose?
Is this Plato's heebie-jeebies, or just existential blues?

Sailing, sailing, what is illusion, what is truth?
Sailing, sailing, over the existential blues.
God bless America, and Old Glory, too.
May she always wave o'er us with the red, white, and existential blues.

Bom-diddy-bom-de-bom-diddy-bom, ding-de-ding, existential blues.
You can do what you want but lay off my existential blues,
My blue suede existential blues.

Some girl with psychic powers, she says, "T-Bone, what's your sign?"
I blink and answer, "Neon." I thought I'd blow her mind.
She's reading "Moby Dick" by some fruitcake named Herman.
She's chomping on a knockwurst. Was the Duchess really German?
You ask so many questions. What answers should I choose?
Is this really Butte, Montana, or just existential blues?
