So - we've gone to both TDL and TDS several times in the last couple of years.
One of the things we noticed was the flavored popcorn they have for sale. Two of the oddest flavors (I thought) were Curry and Black Pepper (that's two seperate flavors).
I'm sure they are geared towards Japanese taste buds (as are the candies in the shops) - which would probably explain why they have "sea salt" flavored ice cream for sale in TDS.
What about everybody else? |

The sweet ones are the foulest smelling things ever. Strawberry especially. |

I'm not sure if "sea salt" is the same as regular salted popcorn. I'm not really ready to dish out $3 (well, $2.60) to find out. Same deal about the sea salt flavored ice cream - curious, I'd try a sample, but I don't want to have to pay that much for it.
We always find the curry to be the worst smelling stand in TDL - you can smell that one 20 feet away.

I figured it was a cultural thing - like the Black Pepper, or Curry (though curry is obviously indian - but from what I've seen curry is fairly popular in Japan). I'm pretty sure you wouldn't see flavors like that in WDW or DL.
For that matter - do they even have flavored popcorn in the resorts in the states? |

Some of them seem to only smell like the flavor they are supposed to be, but not really taste like it. However, the apple flavor in American Waterfront seems to both smell and taste just like its namesake. |

| Mr X Thu 7/6/2006 9:15a | Cappucino at DisneySea, Coconut at TDL (MagicalNezumi gave me my first taste of THAT flavor...but Cappuchino is still number 1).
Speaking of gross smells, every time I smell that honey popcorn near the Pooh ride, I get nauseous. :O |
