Even though it is a little further removed from the parks I find the transportation much quicker because there is only one bus stop and you do not share a bus with any other resort. |

It is easily my favorite resort, and my very own Abby loves it very much! She is 12!!! lol! They will tell you not to put your towels on the balcony because the Giraffes will eat them and we thought, oh sure... well, the the first morning I went out early and there was a giraffe! Good thing I had followed directions!! lol! I would recommend staying there, and I think it is well worth the money. The place is amazing. It is like staying in part of the part. I would love to stay there every time we go, but my husband doesn't like the food at Boma and he usually eats anything! |

The gift shop was spectacular.
Im about to redecorate my bedroom and the colours I have chosen are called Kenyan Intense and Kenyan mid tone. Im trying to recreate the colours at the AKL...lol, (we just need a few zebras in the garden now!) |

Also, and I don't mean this as a complaint or anything, but you have a most unusual writing style. It's like you have to have 2 sentences pushed together. I don't think I've seen that style before, so you're totally unique! ;)

would they say they were fully booked, or give the room?
In the UK all rooms are priced as a none savannah. |

| Spirit of 74 Mon 9/25/2006 8:17p | Not sure I understand the question, bloona.
If you booked into a standard or pool view room, you'd have to pay extra to get a savannah view unless in the highly unlikely situation you arrived and they were overbooked in the cheaper category rooms and they'd have no choice but to upgrade.
They would certainly book you into it if you called and they had it open, but they'd book it at it's rack rate.
And I would say a good 60% of the rooms are overlooking animal enclosures, although I've had standard and pool views were you could still see animals too.

One of the many reasons why I never use tour operators or travel agents when I can speak the language of my destination. |
