Guess what! I got to be in the noontime Family Fun Day Parade at the MK this past Friday! Myself, my daughter and two friends were walking past the hub on our way to Tomorrowland when we were asked by a CM if we wanted to be in the parade. Of course I said YES! I frantically called my sons and my sister and her family who were, unfortunately, still checking into the resort. There was no one to see us!! We are however on some families cameras and camcorders! It was cool. We got to play tambourines and were taught a little routine! We were beind a big bass drum.

It was the greatest!!!

Oh wow - that sounds like fun. I remember being pulled out to dance in Tapestry of Nations and it really was a high point. I am so happy for you and yours!!!

Thanks! I just noticed that it was posted twice. Odd.

It was the highlight of my trip!!

I know some other LPers were down around the same time as we were. Hopefully someone has the parade on video or pics. Anyone??

Awwww, I was there that day but not until 6 for Mickey's Not So Scary. It sounds like it was excellent and extremely fun!

The day before which would've been last Thursday my Mom and I got to be in the first part of the Backlot Tour! We were the two people who were supposed to be washing the front of the ship when the attack happens. It was the highlight of our trip too but its a shame that there's no way we could have a recording of it - you don't even get to see the replay of it that the audience gets to see!

Not too wet actually! It was great because it was my mom's first trip to WDW and she had no idea what we were doing when the CM picked us from the line to volunteer. As we were following her out of the line I looked at my mom and said "Now no matter what happens, DON'T GET MAD AT ME!" :)

So we go around to where they do it and we walk to the little hut and they start giving us the rubber boots, pants and jackets and my mom looks at me and says "What on earth did you get us into?" It was great.

We were with a married couple from Montana, the husband sat in the little "under the ship" booth with the phone. He got REALLY wet! The 3 of us on the boat were a little wet but you take the jacket, pants and boots off so fast that it wasn't terrible. And it was so hot that it actually felt really good!
