My Dad and I are going back to WDW this week and are making the trip extremely inexpensive. We've been able to figure out how to cut costs in all areas except we are not yet sure how to find "cheap" WDW tickets. I've heard of timeshares before and would even be willing to consider one if the price was right. Does anyone have any ideas or tips. We're going to have a great time enjoying the resort as a whole but this time especially, we really have to make it inexpensive. Financially it really does not make since for us to go right now due to our goals but for us, WDW is a revival to continue on to much greater things in the future and there for is necessary. Thanks in advance for any ideas you might have on WDW tickets!

There are companies that sell timeshares and other vacation properties in Florida. Some give away things to get you to sit through a few hours of a sales pitch; park tickets have been known to be an enticement. But would your dad _really_ want to sit through a few hours of sales presentations just to get some "free" tickets?

Unless you have a really strong desire for verbal abuse, I STRONGLY suggest that you do not go the timeshare route. They are the most high pressure salesmen on the planet. They'll keep you there from 2 to 5 hours, nagging and bitching and begging for your committment. It's most unpleasant!

You'll want to do some really careful math on multi day tickets. You didn't say how long this trip is, but the way they price them you could get extra days to use later for just a few more dollars. I'm guessing you don't want the park hopping option - that'll save you a little.

Good luck!

I also would discourage your from going to "Timeshare ticket discount" route. If you want to save money on tickets 1) ALWAYS buy in advance. 2) If you purchase your tickets through AAA you will save 10%. 3) If you just do the single park each day you will save money. 4) I think four days in the breakeven point, any tickets that are longer that a four day ticket offer more value for the buck. 5) Check with you employeer's HR Dept. Some companys offer significant reductions on WDW Tickets.

A webstie that might be helpful is www.mousesavers.com

Good Luck.

Also pitapan, if money is really tight, consider lessening the number of days in the parks and spend a day exploring the resorts including Fort Wilderness.

Personally I would not risk cheap tickets as they are a false economy (some unscrupulous dealers have been known to sell expired tickets).

Oh yeah, we'll be doing ALOT of resort exploration, swimming, monorail riding, picture taking, eating, and relaxing. we'll be at Disney from 5-7days so we'd like to mix in maybe 2 parks(AK and Epcot.) We will MAX out those days from opening to closing. And the time in between will allow us to enjoy to low paced vacation flavor of WDW. Its going to be great. In the near future, we'll be back and have our annual passes but for now, it must be on a budget.

The only thing to do is get a 3 or 4 day base ticket. You don't get any savings for advance purchse. :(
