I want to go to DW dec.22-27 07 to see christmas decorations and to be there at christmas would be neat, but how crowded is it? is it better to go jan.1-jan-6. I don't want to take 16 year old daughter out of school for a week so would have to go on her school break.saw DW at christmas on tv looks so neat! but wonder about crowds.love to hear how it is at christmas. thank-you,seafairy

It is the most crowded time of the year. But some say it is well worth it. I get to find out myself in 14days.
Have a great time when you decide to go.

seafairy, I've never been there that time of year, so I can only tell you what I've read on these boards. Oh, I forgot, my parents, brother, and grandparents went the year I was pregnant (WITHOUT ME!!!!) lol

My mother and grandmother weren't feeling well on Christmas day, so my father and brother went to the Magic Kingdom, thinking it would be empty with it being Christmas Day. Well, they were obviously wrong. From what I've heard, if you want to see it on Christmas Day, go with the expectation that you won't get much done. I don't think the other parks are as busy as MK on Christmas Day.

As far as the rest of that week goes, I think it is probably also very crowded. But if you use a touring plan from a guidebook you should be able to get a fair amount done.

The best thing to do (in my opinion) is get to each park first thing in the morning, spend a few hours experiencnig attractions and seeing the sights, then consider a lunch at one of the resort hotels so you can see it's decorations, then take a cab back to your room (unless you have a car) and swim and take a nap. Then hit the parks again refreshed and stay until closing time.

I just returned on DEC 19 and Sunday and Monday were getting pretty wall to wall with people. I'm sure it gets much more crowded through New Years. I think your January plan has merit but some attarctions may be closed for refurb.
