It would work but it would be cozy. If you go with POR remember to ask for one of the Alligator Bayou rooms -- they are the only rooms with a trundle bed for the 5th person.
Given your situation I think I would choose two rooms at the Pop Century. The extra space will be nice and a second bathroom will be a HUGE advantage for getting ready in the morning.
Have fun whatever you decide!

In fact, I'm not sure how you would negotiate the room if you didn't get a handicapped room. I was offered a handicapped room at the Yacht Club and it was enormous. (But the sleeping arrangements were kind of different.) If you're going to be staying in the room a lot, I'd go for the moderates even with a tight squeeze since you can always go outside to a more landscaped and much more beautiful surrounding at the property. |

We stayed at the All Stars and had a room near the elevator on the 2nd floor (of 3) and it was unbelievably noisy. My husband says we'll NEVER stay at a value again. Our waiter at the CA Grill said that the cost is only about $100 more for a week to stay at the moderate versus the values. Maybe shop around to see if you can get a better deal? We haven't verified the prices the guy quoted us or anything. |

Your waiter had no idea what he was talking about. Depending on time of year the moderates cost $60 - $70 per night more than the values. There may occasionally be some Annual Passholder rates that would bring the moderates close to the values in price, but those discounts are only available at certain times of the year and are limited in number (plus you need to be an annual passholder)..
Value or Moderate, if you are stuck next to an elevator it is going to be noisy. If that is a concern you might want to mention it when you make your reservation.

As for ceiling fans, the values don't have them.
I'd opt for two adjoining rooms, that way you get to maximize the accessibility of the bathrooms. In the values, the disabled access rooms have king sized beds and zero entry showers. Given the situation, don't request a disabled access room unless you need it. If you do need a disabled access room, call the Walt Disney World Special Reservations line at 407-939-7807 and explain the room requirements and tell them your preferred resort. |

CBR has the largest rooms but has the smallest pool and is way to spread out -- especially for someone with a disability. CSR, my personal favorite, has a huge pool with a Zero depth entry section which is great for the handicapped. It also has a great food court and sit down restaurant, an excercise facility and a spa. POFQ is the smallest of the mods and is very quaint but I don't think teenagers are going to be thrilled with the theming (CSR seems to suit teens better) however, the easy access to DTD might appeal to them. POR is not as spread out as CBR but the paths can be hard to navigate, especially the Bayou section, which my the way have no elevators. The Magnolia Bend section is a little better and it does have elevators. POR also has the boat to DTD. I'd still vote for CSR though. I personally think the theming is breathtaking, expecially at night. I prefer the food court at CSR to any of the others on property (except I do like the meatball sandwich at POP) and just generally have enjoyed our stays there more than our stays anywhere else, unless we are in a delux -- although I do prefer CSR to WL for some reason. |

| beamerdog Tue 12/19/2006 2:57p | I like CSR, too (POR is my favorite mod). They also honored our request for a building nearest to the main building (having sight problems at the time) which was a great location for me at the time.
We stayed there right after it openned, so there were a few wrinkles to be ironed out, but the general experience was very good. |

If you stay at the POP the elevators, Ice and vending are in the Hub of the three wings and no room would be affected. You can hear noisy neighbors though. I have read poor reports on the allstars but I have stayed only at POR and POP. I prefer the POR but I can afford Longer stays at the POP. Joined rooms at the POP with the two baths and 4 double beds would be my recommendation. |

| seafairy Sat 12/23/2006 4:40p | Thank-you all who responded. Very good information. We decided on POR because we won't all be in the room that much, but disabled husband can't walk the parks all day long and would be going back to the resort by himself, sometimes taking the 8 year old back to go swimming and we enjoy the theme of POR. |
