| oc_dean Thu 12/14/2006 2:12a | And would anyone care to describe this "Animation Academy" and what land it's going into. My guess is Fantasyland. And if the answer is Tomorrowland ... I'm gonna SCREAM!!! |

| leemac Thu 12/14/2006 3:12a | The Animation Academy is going on Main Street USA (next to the Disneyland Story). It will be the same as DCA's show.
iasw has 30 Disney characters in it in all including a huge Asia section and a brand-new North America section.
We have some images that Doobie will be putting up on Latest very shortly. |

| SuperDry Thu 12/14/2006 3:17a | Assuming that Animation Academy will be similar to what's offered at DCA, that's very interesting. Even on a quiet day, you could easily spend an hour or more in there, just exploring the different things in there. Which is exactly what HKDL needs: an attraction of some sort that can eat up a lot of time on a slow day, yet one that can be skipped without too much regret on a busy day. |

| leemac Thu 12/14/2006 3:23a | The Academy is coming next June. It is part of the new summer season that includes the TDL-style water parade. The floats are very cute and we should have images up shortly.
The Academy is part of the continuing drive to increase character awareness at the park. The same is true of iasw to a degree as you will see characters like Marie from Aristocats for France, Peter Pan for England etc. |

| jmuboy Thu 12/14/2006 7:18a | The characters inside IASW is an interesting twist. I'll be interested in seeing what style they are done in and how well they blend in with Mary Blair unique designs. And an all new North America section will be cool. I enjoyed the one at DLP, and it was a surprise as I was used to the "typical" scenes of the US parks.
All in all, this is a MUCH better line up of new attractions than what we got in TL the summer of 2006.
I hope we continue to see new attractiosn like this announced annually. A new E-ticket announced every year along with supporting C/D attractions is exactly how this park should grow. |

| koobar Thu 12/14/2006 7:27a | i like the addition of disney storybook characters into the attraction, it helps to fit the theming of IASW better into Fantasyland. in the concept pics posted here i think you can see cinderella dancing with prince charming in the France section of the ride.
i'm still waiting for POTC and HM to be added (or a brand new E-ticket concept will do) then maybe i'll consider visiting. |

| gurgitoy2 Thu 12/14/2006 7:31a | So they are going with the Disney overlay of IASW! Good, I liked the concept art, and it's a different take on the attraction. Plus, since it's a brand new version, nobody can claim they messed with a classic...it's brand new. |
