DLFAN1979 that is why I said earlier that Peter Pan is the exception.

<<Thats why Tony had to scurry and build cheap but QUALITY stuff like Casey Jr and Storybook Land.>>

That's funny. So is Space Mountain cheap? SM got rushed ahead thanks to the dropped TLM/B&B attractions. And that is Tony Baxter's official line on it too.

<<Lee, i know WHO you are so i expect this kind of line. >>

OK. I guess I should be glad that I don't know you then.....

Peter Pan is a Disney theme park favorite & as one I would like to see Peter Pan make its way in HKDL, but as for Snow White, Mr. Toad, & Pinocchio I rather not see. Mulan is what will drive peoples attention there in Hong Kong & then you can get a whole new different dark ride that will be some whatpopular to them & build it. You see to me I don't like clones especially when a new park opened because to me every Disney park should have its potential to stand out & I hope Hong Kong will be able to do just that.

"My hunch is that your view is not that of the average guest. When they think of Disney attractions like Space, Big Thunder, Mansion and Pirates will be front-and-foremost."
I totally agree with you: when I think Disney, I also think BTM, POTC, HM... And none of those rides are in HKDL ! This is why this park is not a true Disney park.
And, you did not answer my question: do you think Autopia or UFO Zone are more relevants than a Fantasyland DR? And if you think that those DR are not relevant anymore, why don't they improve them? With Peter Pan, you can build a Pirates of the caraibbean ride !

Freddy, it doesn't take HM & POTC to make a Disney park & didn't Leemac already say WDI were coming up with ideas for them. Pirates of the Caribbean is going to Adentureland & rumors are saying that the Haunted Mansion is also going to Adventureland. And isn't Jungle Cruise a Disneyland favorite & look HKDL may soon have all those classics that people first think of in one area. POTC is right across from the HM & right off from there is the JC. So you may think HKDL is not a true Disney theme park but in your case to you HKDL is not a true Disney theme park yet!

Personally I find HKDL's Autopia a better attraction than the dark rides mentioned. It has a lot of neat tricks and is definitely the best one out there. Families do seem to enjoy it and in a city with the lowest car ownership world in the western world it made sense.

If Peter Pan's Flight is the 'exception' as an attendance drawing attraction, why wasn't it added to HKDL? Or is it possibly one of the dark rides being considered for future expansion? I would imagine a 'state-of-the-art' version with today's technology could really make this attraction truly stand out.

ORDDU: Thank you for echoing the same sentiments that my sisters and I share with you, DLFAN1979, duckling. To hear one certain individual talk around here, you'd think he saw himself totally above what Walt Disney, himself, knew to be good entertainment. It's truly laughable to realize this is supposed to be a site for Disney fans--only to be greeted, every now and then, by the type of conceited arrogance that comes from one individual who--if he had his own way--would destroy all the magic of the Disney theme parks by running them in a way that is equal to Paul Pressler.

ORWEN: Exactly. That's why we'd much rather know you than anyone who is always implying he knows better than the master--meaning Uncle Walt. Dark rides still serve a very important place in Disney theme parks. If a person can't see that, they don't see much at all--especially when you consider that attractions such as Pirates and Splash Mountain are also dark rides on a much grander scale.
