| frdeb1999 Sat 12/23/2006 2:13p | Has anyone stayed at either or both. In process of booking for the upcoming year and Poly has always been our favorite. But as the kids get older and love to spend more time at MGM and Epcot we have been looking more towards a change. I have heard though that the conceirge service at Poly is much better as is the service then BC. Would love some advice from anyone that has stayed at both. The pictures they post at the normal sight just don't normally do the hotels justice and seem to hit only on high points and not what most really want to know. Thank you for any and all help!! |

I can say the Beach Club is highly recommended. The proximity to Epcot and the Studios is great as you mention. They have a fun restaurant in the Beach Club Galley and an easy-to-get-into-without-a-reservation restaurant with the Yacht Club Galley. And the proximity to the Boardwalk also gives you tons of dining choices. It also has the best swimming pool on property. Really a great place.

| Kennesaw Tom Tue 12/26/2006 10:51a | I have never stayed at either resort. And I would have to say perhaps the Beach Club for convience. But personally given a choice between the two I would pick Poly. Simply for the themeing. |

| Spirit of 74 Tue 12/26/2006 7:45p | I've stayed at both.
I'd stay at the Poly anytime.
Better rooms (especially now). Better CMs (especially management and concierge staff). Better dining at the actual resort (there are more choices at BC if you walk to another resort).
But BC just is very overrated and it has the worst upkeep and Mousekeeping of any deluxe resort, and I have stayed at them all ... many, many, many times.
You can't go wrong with the Poly.
You may or may not go wrong with the BC.

With older kids, close proximity to Epcot, Swan, Dolphin and Boardwalk restaurants (love the walks), awesome pool, Beaches and Cream, and relative quiet surroundings, I'd choose the Yacht Club over the Beach Club. It's just a very short walk farther from Epcot.
Funny, I've never had anything other than the best service from their cm's.
Don't get me wrong, I like the Poly, too. Just love the location of B/YC. |

| Spirit of 74 Wed 12/27/2006 11:38p | ^^I am not totally sure as I haven't been over there in 3-4 months.
I know, at that time, 75% of the rooms were done. I know since then that Captain Cook's has reopened.
You could call right to the front desk and ask for a status report, but I wouldn't imagine there's very much work (if any) to be done.

| frdeb1999 Thu 12/28/2006 5:04a | Thanks for the help! I have heard some of the same comments about the BC. Know the girls would love the pools and location. But at the prices you pay for the deluxe resorts I expect there not to be too many flaws if any. And I can only say wonderful things about Poly after staying this past year there. Thanks again for all the help!! |

| Chelledun Thu 12/28/2006 5:43a | We've stayed at both, and the Poly is WONDERFUL! I think almost all of the rooms are done now - they were working on Tahiti I believe when we were there in October and I think that was the last building. |
