I've never been in late March, but I believe the closer you get to Spring Break, the larger the crowds become.

I'd expect really big crowds at the end of March - longer park hours mean bigger crowds.

The crowds are big from the last week in February through the first week of April due to Spring Breaks. The crowds usually peak the week before and the week following Easter which is April 8th this year.

We went to WDW once the week following Easter and the Magic Kingdom was closed after reaching capacity three of the five days we were there.

If you go I would advise not even trying to visit the MK except for early in the morning and late in the evening. During the mid-day visit MGM or Epcot which are not quite as crowded. Epcot especially is good at handling large numbers of visitors without seeming excessively crowded.

I can't say what Animal Kingdom would be like... we didn't even try when we were there after Easter. The AK walkways are quite narrow and can be packed even during non-peak times. I can't imagine what it would be like at a peak time... especially now with Expedition Everest.

Having said all that, would I do it again?

ABSOLUTELY!! Being at WDW at ANY time is better than not being at WDW.
