Topic: touring the parks during a conference?

I'm going with DH to WDW while he attends a conference from March 10-16. We are staying at the Yacht Club and DH will be at conferences all day for 5 out of the 6 days we are there.

I have several questions since I have never been to WDW while someone attends a conference. So here it goes!

How is the best way to see the parks when DH can only go in the late afternoons and evenings? I want to ride most of the big attractions with him. But we don't do roller costers!

I plan to go to the parks in the mornings and than return to the hotel for the afternoon and than return to the same park in the late afternoon. How is the best way to get fast passes? Can I even get fast passes for DH? I'm thinking they will all be gone by the time the two of us get there!

I've already decided to advoid EMH since DH has to get up so early to get to conference. I have just a couple of ADR'd since we're not really sure what time he will be getting out of conference for the day. Is there anything else that would be helpful to make touring earier at that busy time?

Any suggestions and recommendations would be so wonderful!!

It's kinda hard to justify a full day's ticket for someone who's only going to be there from the late afternoon on. If you have any desire to visit WDW within the next year, you might want to consider at least one annual pass.

I've got good news and bad news. Even though FP's show a start and end time, they don't really watch the end time. So you could get a FP for say 11am - 12noon and use it later in the day. The problem is that the system knows if you've actually entered the park on any given day. So even if you were in the park in the morning and had your husband's pass with you, you couldn't use his to get a FP.

This is a little tricky, but you could go to the park early, get a FP on your admission ticket, wait till the start time on the FP, and then get a SECOND FP at the same attraction. Now you have TWO FP's for use later in the day. This may be too much of a pain for you, but for a super-busy attraction like Everest or Soarin' it might be worth it.

Depending on where the conference is, some of the conference centers offer 1/2 day disney passes for conference/trade exibitions. I know the Orlando http://www.orlandomeetinginfo.

Thanks for the info about FP. I hadn't thought about getting two FP on my ticket.

I think we are going to get tickets thru the conference. It's offers a little savings, and it was less money than the after 4pm tickets for 6 days.
