Is it just me, or could the fireworks possibly be a dry test run for Illuminations: Skydance?

The fireworks were shot over the attraction facade in similar fashion to the grand opening of Disney attraction so I'm doubting it was test. There didn't appear to be anything particularly unique about the display but it was a beautiful and high energy kick off for rededication.

Is Jay Rasulo an animatronic? Or maybe his speech writer is animatronic?

"We'll continue to strive for creative excellence, by taking our core franchises and bringing them to life in new and surprising ways".

No real human talks like that.

And why was the audience seeded with CM's who clapped and whooped on queue to rather bland statements like "led by the head of creative entertainment Anne Hamburger!" APPLAUSE!

How would anyone not on the Disney payroll know they are supposed to applaud after Ms. Hamburger is mentioned in the speech?

OK, it is just me? Are the links to the clips mentioned above reversed?

It's not you.

But that let me watch the Meg Crofton video. She reminds me of an Irvine City Councilwoman. Very dry. Very political. Very bland. Probably takes herself just a tad too seriously.

How'd she get that job?

TP...I agree with you about Meg...She just didn't seem to be having much fun or in the spirit for such an event...

Ya think? ;-)

<<How'd she get that job? >>

InoverherheadMeg was placed in that job by Jay Rasulo, who wants to have (and now that Matt Ouimet is at Starwood does) puppets who owe their existence to him in charge of all the resorts. This way his decisions can be met with rubber-stamps and he will never have to worry about dissension in the ranks.

It's a smart tactical move considering his job is in jeopardy and it is only a matter of time before he leaves to spend more time with his family. This way he extends his tenure to the absolute limit. But Bob Iger is a smart man and it's only a matter of time before Parks and Resorts gets the housecleaning Feature Animation and the Studios have.
