The new parade will debut in March '08 at Tokyo Disneyland and has the tentative name of Treasures on Parade. The theme of precious treasures is the overarching concept for the park's twenty-fifth anniversary next year.

Other news for the birthday will include Monsters, Inc. Hide and Go Seek! opening in December '08.

Whoa! Thanks for the news! "Precious Treasures" eh? Isn't there already a show with that name at TDS? ;-) -- MagicalNezumi

^^ The concept is spectacular and I think it is now going to be the basis for the whole celebration. At least it isn't about dreams or magic. :-p

Sounds interesting Im hoping the floats will be on the same level of detail that we saw for Disneyland's Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams floats.

Is this parade being developed in California?

Or Florida? What I mean is is it coming from some TWDC division stateside as opposed to e-productions or whatever it's called in Tokyo?

It's being done by Disney's Creative Entertainment in Glendale...

At present the "big" stuff is still being done by DCE. Thankfully. Otherwise everything would be like Over the Waves. :-)

I agree with that^^^ Thanksfully.

However... treasures theme... Hmmm I sure hope it's not a pirate themed procession. That's just what TDL needs now... (rolls eyes)

WOW, thanks for the info Lee!!!

Now I am really interested in what the basis of the concept is around- Disney does so many parades based around units that represent the typical big animated feature films, and TDR is doing the "land-based" parade right now, so I wonder where this will fall in line? I hope it is something a bit more outside of the box and not something we have seen before.
