<<^What was Francois responsible for developing in Paris Leemac? >>

In short all of the live entertainment from the Kids' Carnival series that ran a few years back (with Katy Harris as producer) to Wishes to all of the current crop of entertainment at both parks (and there is a LOT). The bigger stuff like Lion King and the DL daytime parade were conceived and executed by DCE under the guidance of creative director Michael Jung but Francois was the local lead on those projects. So HSM, Catch A Wave, the new Pooh show etc. all fell within his specialty.

He did a great thing with the 15th - he gave each of the local producers the opportunity to put together their own show for the 15th. So someone turned out the adorably cute Alpha Bet You Are (the letters are amazing) and the Characters' Express parade.

Ultimately DLP has consistently had some of the best entertainment around and often put together on very small budgets. Some of that credit can go to the infrastructure that the parks has (definitely the best theatres of all of the MK parks) but it really comes down to the invention that the entertainment team show. Sadly with product like Cinderellabration at MK the WDW local team has not shown the same type of creativity and ingenuity. Francois will definitely be a breath of fresh air down there.

Oh no, I didn't know Francois had moved on to WDW. Great for the swamp, but who is now manging the future projects in Paris, and what is their track record like.

Francois and Kat working together have created some real magic. I rag on the lack of fireworks and streetmousephere at DLP, but there are no doubts DLP now has the best stage shows and parade.

>>>he was quite adament that some of the folks in power (and Anne was specifically referenced) had difficulty understanding<<<

>>>Honestly Spirit take it from me that that couldn't be further from the truth. Annie understands the local conditions entirely.<<<

So, who's right here?

Can't be both of you (totally contradictory statements)...

I don't buy that, and I can say so safely even though I've never been there.

The performance level absolutely SUCKS. I've seen more than enough proof...maybe some of it works it's way up to "okay"...but "consistantly some of the best"????????????????

No freakin way.

Lee, you don't know what you're talking about in this area...trust me.

NO big gun (Franc or Anne) will do a good job at any Disney park with entertainment as long as the company does not provide the funds to make such endeavors happen, the right way that is, and even some of them do not have what it takes... Look at BraviSEAmo, so even budgets do not translate into great productions.

I know I'm in the minority, but I love BraviSEAmo. The score is brilliant, and the entire show is so tastefully done and elegant. I know some people find it repetitive and mostly eye candy, but I find it very emotional and grand.

TDR_FAN, is there anything about Tokyo DisneySea that you don't think is fantastic and brilliant?

Yes. Over the Waves is awful and I do not care for it at all. And the off the shelf attractions in Mermaid Lagoon.

I kinda like the Mermaid Lagoon stuff. The flying fish ride was surprisingly fun, and the coaster is just as much fun as the other one in Toontown.

The whole concept of Mermaid Lagoon is enthralling--totally immersive. Is there anyone whose jaw doesn't drop as you descend the walkway and enter the enormous cavern with the rides, playground, theater, shop, and restaurant?

The two rides outside are just a teaser!

It's designed to delight kids, which it certainly does from the happy little rascals I've watched running around inside.

And it is desperately needed in a park whose rides are mostly out of reach of the smallest visitors.
