??Come to think of it... NO, I didn't and that was a good thing. The last thing I want is for them to litter TDS with tacky temporary food stands all over the place where redneck drunks can find their laughing place. No siree.. I don't want that type of fun at majestic TDS.??

I dunno, I thought the borscht was really tasty though.

Well... I just got back from HKDL. Much to my surprise, the park was very busy, and if I didn't know any better, I would say that many people appeared to arrive after 2pm. Caught "Waterworks" again. Hanuted Hotel construction is done. Contruction walls and crane have disappear..and a new entrance has been built to that temporary offering. Also, the Pirates have left Adventureland. It's back to it's usual ADVENTUREland form, and frnakly... I prefer it that way. The pirate overlay was fun but it lasted one month too long IMHO..

I also took a quick trip to the Peak Tower to check out the new facilities and also take a quick look at that temporary HKDL exhibit.

Photos from today will be posted by the 13th if you all behave.

I'm behaving, TDLFAN! Honest I am!

It's a celebratory issue of This Week in Hong Kong Disneyland, as the park celebrates its second birthday this week. We also have a closer look at the implications of the Stitch Ticket Booth at The Peak, and a guest reports on some unusual activity around the 'it's a small world' construction site.

No, not really.

But in regards to the kiosk at the Peak Tower, which I visited this past Friday, it is badly placed at the bottom level of the Peak Tower itself, and quite close to Madame Tussaus' wax museum. I stood there for a while, watching the 4 CMs who were manning the kiosk, and they all looked horribly bored. Most tourists coming out of the wax museum did not even care to stop and see what this was al about, walking pass thew exhibit as you would normally walk pass a McDonald's if you are not hungry. The whole thing seems badly put together and totally unappealing to tourists visiting the Peak Tower.
I did watch the promotional video they played on the screen.. and hoenstly, I loved the video and would love to see it released as a dvd souvenir program. While I was there, about 10 mins total, no one bought tickets, and only one older gent was approached by the CM there. No one even played with the so-called interactive feature Loomis mentions on his report, and frankly, there was nothing there that would alert guests of such interactive activity. To me, the whole thing seems unnecesary.

"as you would normally walk pass a McDonald's if you are not hungry"

Or in my case, even if you are STARVING!!! No more of that crap for me. I lost 10 kilos(22 pounds)in six weeks because of damned hard exercise and nutritional food!

Wait until we meet at TDL in eighteen months, TDLFAN!

Hmmm... I don't remember agreeing to meet at TDR or anywhere with people I don't really know at all.

It's the first column of the third year of Hong Kong Disneyland's reign, and it's not been a good first week. Protests; attendance gaps and Autopia derailments have kept the park in the media this week. However, the promise of a multi-billion dollar investment and the preparation for Halloween has still got us excited about This Week in Hong Kong Disneyland.
