It's a pretty jam-packed building. I am surprised they can pull everything out when need be. . .as Mr X said, the coolest part is that they are fed right back into the building they came from, so they can then run the same route through the other side of the building.

Now, the Rainy Day Parade floats don't tend to be stored in a building. Everytime I had seen them, they were parked elsewhere backstage.

Does anyone have pictures of the warehouse inside or out?

Should there be some concern here with your "obsession" of this particular building? Hmmmm? ;)

If OLC is anything like WDC, I'm sure they will frown on anyone posting backstage pictures.

Maybe if you explain what your interest in this building is, someone here might be able to give you an answer. I myself have friends that are TDR CMs that might be able to provide some info.

I love all things disney parades, im a theatre tech and would love to work for Walt Disney world in the parade area. Driver, performer, tech, whatever. Im just trying to collect information about all the parks warehouse and how each operates. Im a behind the scenes kinda person.

im not obcessed with the building. I just like to know what happens back there during a parade. I know how DLR and WDW coordinate there parades backstage. So i moved on to Paris and Tokyo

Yeah, OLC doesn't like backstage pics but there isn't much they can do about it in this day and age. Nearly every CM has a cell phone, and all the phones take pictures and video.

Heck, I've got a great picture of a friend running around backstage with a Mickey Mouse head on. Anyone wanna see that? :p

Hey, Mickey, one more thing is that they do have a lot of OTHER (I guess multi use?) warehouse buildings that store other floats. Not all the floats are kept in that one place. Most of those other buildings are off to the other side, behind Haunted Mansion, and when the floats come back in off the parade route they either roll down the main backstage road or through the main warehouse to get back to all those storage places.

Plus, around countdown time, there are just too many floats and lots of them are parked all around outside too (special events are like that too...too much equipment to store)...it's pretty crazy back there trying to get some 30 floats out for the countdown parade. Total organized chaos!

>>WDW nad DLR both have larger warehouses than TDL. Thats funny.<<

Funny? Meh! Ironic? YES! Concidering TDL's parades are the biggests of any of the other Kingdoms.. To have the smallest warehouse is simpply amazing.

I'm not entirely sure which building is the WDW parade barn (I'm guessing that it's the one behind Splash), but I think TDL's is bigger than it appears. WDW's (assuming I have the right one) is about 120 X 290 ft. The one in DL is about 50 X 320 ft, and TDL is about 240 X 50 ft. Going off of that, DL has the smallest, but they also have two more behind DCA (Measuring 75 X 290 and 60 X 360). I have no idea where the DLP one is, but I assume it is also probably about the same size as DL's. So, compared to all the other buildings around it, TDL's is smaller than the rest, but it's really about average. Too bad they only have one for all of their parades though. I guess in traditional Japanese fashion they have just figured out how to be a lot more efficient than the rest of the world. Anybody know where they send them to be built/rebuilt?

It's funny, every time I see this topic it looks like it says Parade Snorage, and I just imagine lots of sleeping floats.
