| TDLFAN Thu 3/15/2007 8:55a | I am not going to give an opinion on it until I ride it. Granted, the big genie playing a skinny harp does make him look silly. |

| SuperDry Thu 3/15/2007 9:09a | I certainly am not going to pre-judge it either. Although I'll miss the old version, I have high hopes for what they've done with the changes. |

| TDLFAN Thu 3/15/2007 9:10a | I don't. I prefer the Genie holding the small man by the arse, rather than playing a musical intrument. |

| Malin Thu 3/15/2007 11:54a | I can't wait to hear what people are going to make of the changes.I've made it known in the past that while I apreciate the effort and time put into this attraction by the Imagineers I don't have much time for it.Saying that however I realise many of you on here think the attraction is perfect the way it is,so its going to be real interesting to read what you think of the attraction when it re opens.
Chandu is following on in what seems to be a new phase at Tokyo Disney Sea's in that the park is starting to introduce its own line of new exclusive characters.Duffy, the Idol and now Chandu. |

| Roger55 Thu 3/15/2007 2:58p | I'll have a better opinon after I go see it for myself early April, but my opinion now is that it isn't going to make much of a difference at all in the attractions popularity. There will probably be an initial curiosity surge in attendance, but it will probably start declining there after.
Chandu's popularity might just be higher than the attraction itself. I can see him selling a lot of merchandise, but I don't see him drawing people to ride over and over again.
I would not go as far as to say that there is some intentional new phase of "exclusive" characters. Duffy is just the Disney Bear that is in all the other parks. TDR has deemed it important that he be branded with a name, but other than that he is the same bear as the other parks. Shiriki Utundu is an exclusive character and also a main element in the story line of ToT. We'll have to wait to see if Chandu is key to the story line, or just a cute side-kick. |

| The Goddess Mara Sat 3/17/2007 5:12p | If the new song for the attraction is catchy, and if kids really enjoy it, then the redone attraction will draw customers. I'm curious to hear what folks have to say when it reopens. I'll get to see it in October on my annual visit. |

| Mr X Sat 3/17/2007 9:21p | What the heck? Are they trying to make the genie less scary or something?
If so, I hope they did something about the psychotic moneys...those things are CREEPY! :p |
