| jtomyl Fri 3/16/2007 1:15a | Looking at going over to TDL this summer. I'm hearing rumors that you have to leave the park at 6pm unless you purchase a StarLight ticket even if the park is open until 10pm? Is that correct or is the StarLight only necessary if you are planning on access to the park for night. |

However, the parks (especially TDL) often sell out during the summer, so you should pre-buy your tickets or show up early...especially on a Saturday or Sunday. |

Monday can be very busy for TDL in the summer, by the way. Might want to plan some Tokyo time (or, at least, head to DisneySea that day). |

| TDLFAN Fri 3/16/2007 2:55p | You can pre-purchase tickets to the park once you are in Japan. Some train stations sell TDR tickets, and so do the Disney Stores. Some convenience stores may sell vouchers to TDR, that may be exchanged at the ticket windows, however, vouchers usually are not "dated", so if you show up at the parks on very crowded days... and the park is closed due to over crowding, a voucher won't get you in. Magical Nezumi would know better but he is currently on vacation and may not be checking the site for a few days... Just be patient. We'll find you an answer. |

It sounds like I'll have to wait and purchase on-site. Dang, I wanted to leave with ticket in hand, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
I'm getting really excited about this trip! Hong Kong followed by Tokyo Disneylands. I think I'll need to call the bank and get my credit card limit bumped up and expect some off shore charges. |

That's right. There's no need to worry about being able to buy a ticket if you're staying at the Hilton Tokyo Bay. Do so at the counter within the hotel, not at the park, to take advantage of the "guaranteed admission" benefit. |

| The Goddess Mara Sat 3/17/2007 5:10p | I've never seen any discounted tickets offered for the Tokyo parks, but depending upon what time of day you get in, the partial day tickets can be a good deal.
There's a different one that begins earlier than 6 pm, isn't there? I can't remember since I only did that once.
By the way, the Hilton is great. Two minute walk to the Bay Station of the Disney Resort Liner (monorail). |
