My kids were shocked at the photos from these early trips ... my mom in a dress and high heals and my dad wearing a suit. Those were the days! |

Wed 6/25/2008 7:24a | What can I say...I stole my name, obviously. But, I have a fascination with Walt Disney and his life. Could you imagine being Walt, looking down Main Street toward your fairytale castle, and watching people from all over the world enjoy what you helped create?
Anyway, if you've never read it, I highly recommend the book, "Walt Disney-An American Original" by Bob Thomas. This is the best biography I have ever read. |

There is cute story that goes along with my name though.
My mom named me after the girl gelfling in Jim Henson's "The Dark Crystal". For years she thought it was a Disney movie (I corrected her on this mistake a little over a year ago). 3 years after having me she became pregnant with my younger brother. She wanted him to have a "disney" name as well. His first name comes from my grandfather but his for the middle name she chose "Dale".
So Kira is my not-so-disney first name! |

Wed 6/25/2008 7:29p | Mine is so not original and I wish I had taken the time and thought and put it into a better Disney name. But I was in a hurry to get my point across and do some venting and just used my name which is Llana Toye (insert last name). My Dad named me and he never told why there was two L's in Llana but the Toye was because after 3 boys I was his darling little girl and he wanted a "girlie name". Sadly, I turned out to be a tomboy, well who wouldn't with three older brothers?
