21	DVC_dad Fri 4/20/2007 3:13p	Oh oh oh I am glad you started this thread! I have wondered this so many times about everyone and have asked few. Mine DVC_dad is simply the fact that I love the DVC (Disney Vacation Club) and even more I love being a dad (of 6 kids.)

Anyway, I started here as figaro_cleo because I loved those two characters from Pinocchio. After a few years I decided I felt like a chance (for no particular reason), and I was inspired by the Liberty Belle at Disney World as well as Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and I became ... Liberty Belle! I do miss getting called Catfish, though.

An University a number of friends started callingme Baloo (as I look and acted a little like him, plus I'm a huge Disney fan). So my nick in cyber space used to be Baloo. Then, as more people logged on, I signed up on LP as Daveisbaloo. Because of a tech glich, I couldn't log on and therefore became Davewasbaloo. It's stuck ever since.

29	Big Thunder Sun 4/22/2007 8:21a	I started here as "freykr" which was my AOL screen name when I first created an internet account. I ended up with that screen name because the ones I wanted were all taken. So I decided to go with something unqique. My daughter had just started school, each new family at the school are assigned a family name for tuition records, service hours, contributions, etc. It is based on the first 4 letters of the last last, and the 1st and 3rd letter of the primary parent's [the one who writes the checks] first name. My name is Karl Frey, hence our family code was "freykr". When I would sign up for websites and stuff, I used to use that screen name because it was rarely used by others. However years later, believe it or not, other people had that chosen that same nick. [I'm still surprised by that] After being on LP for a few months I wanted a screen name that had something to do with Disneyland. I have always liked the name "Thunder" as a male name. I wanted to name my first son Thunder, however my wife would never have allowed that. So, I named our first family dog "Thunder" Back in 2000 when I first signed onto LP, our favorite eating spot at DL was Big Thunder BBQ. Back before Big Thunder Mtn Rail Road, BIG Thunder was designated for other pieces of Disneyland [like Big Thunder Falls and Little Thunder Falls] I'm a big guy, I like the name "Thunder", our dog was named THunder, our fave hang out was Big Thunder BBQ, so it fit... "Big Thunder" and it was definitely Disneyland related. Most assume that Big Thunder Mtn Rail Road is my favorite attraction, however it is not. Later my daughter wanted a different LP screen name, so we changed her's to "Lil Thunder" after the old "Big Thunder falls , Little Thunder Falls" landmark. My wife used to tease me about my Disneyland obsession, she thought it even sillier that I was known in these parts as "Big Thunder" so when I would post about my wife, I referred to her as "Mrs Thunder" just to rub it in. She was not amused when she found out, but now she is cool with it. So, that's how I became "Big Thunder"
30	amazedncal2 Sun 4/22/2007 8:36a	<<not the most clever person on LP The amazedncal part came from my first screen name on a discussion board. It was a Beanie Baby site during the "height" of Beanie Babies and my DD was madly in love with them. I signed on as "amazed" as I was amazed at some of the prices people were selling them for. I added ncal for Northern California when we all decided to post the area we were from as the discussion board became a "I found it" sharing site. I used to post as a Disney type name on another website, I think it was GoofyGuy (because my DH originally wanted a question asked.) One day I wanted to ask a question on LP and not be noticed by those who were familiar with me on the other website. So I just signed up as amazedncal, my long lost Beanie Baby site name. The #2 was added when I couldn't sign on to LP one day and "amazedncal" was already taken as a screen name :)
