<<Does Disney really have any other kind?>>
Damn ... too slow on the trigger today! |

| Spirit of 74 Thu 5/24/2007 2:06p | <<If I recall correctly, only a small portion of the Adventureland Veranda was outdoors, near the old Swan Boat moat around the central hub. The rest was indoors.>>
That's right.
But it was some of the most beautiful real estate at the MK.
I recall many a terriyaki-sauced meal seated outside, while the Swan Boats gracefully passed below amidst flowers in bloom and squirrels begging for scraps.
Happy memories from a long ago place.

| Spirit of 74 Thu 5/24/2007 2:40p | ^^The last time I rode the Swan Boats was in April of 1985 ... may have even been on Easter.
I know they were seasonal in 85 and 86 and then disappeared forever.

It sounds like it could only add to the Magic. I'm really sorry I never had the opportunity to experience them. |

| Autopia Deb Thu 5/24/2007 4:01p | I'm going to risk the wrath of the Spirit and TDLFAN. I would like to see a Pirate character meal. As a mom with a boy it would be nice to go to a character experience catering to his demographic. He's getting too old for the foam heads (or so he acts) and the princesses are just "icky" as far as he's concerned. He would get a big kick out of Capt Jack or Barbosa poking fun at his meal and posing for pics. |

| sun-n-fun Fri 5/25/2007 5:09a | Autopia Deb - that is why we have never done a characted breakfast. My boys act too old for the "cute characters" (only since the 8 yr old likes to copy his brother) and both roll their eyes at the idea of princesses. We'd love a pirate theme meal!! Actually, all 3 of my "boys" would love it - ages 8, 11, and 38 :) |
