My parents met Bobby Burgess when we went to a Disneyana Convention back in 199(?). He still sends a Christmas card every year. :)

Back in the early 80s, I shot a commercial for 'S'more's Granola Bars.'

I showed up on the set, and went to make-up.

The make-up artist, [and I recognized him from a Mousketeer book that I own], was none other than former Mouseketeer Tommy Cole.

I said I recognized him, and he was flattered and kind of bemused as to why I would have known who he was.

Okay, there's my story...

I have his autograph on this 5 x 7 photo as well.Glad you joined in. There is Annette, Jimmy Dodd, Bobby Burgess, Cubby, Darlene, Doreen,Karen Pendelton, eight total, I believe. How unusual for me to find this. ;o)

I can't begin to tell you the names but I was at DL during the 50th and they had a "Mouseketeers" day and most of the old original gang, except Annette, were there.

I wasn't expecting them to be there so I had nothing to get an autograph with even if I wanted one but it was a pleasant surprise. Bobby was there, that one I remember. They had a small parade and then a meet and greet.

Unfortunately, Annette was stricken with MS and is confined to a wheelchair at this point. She apparently is not doing very well.

That is a shame. At least someone in this world remembers her and is thinking of her, that being us. Her time on Earth has not been in vain. She touched a lot of young children in the 50's and 60's, and will always be remembered with her pretty smile. Wouldn't it be cool if she could see we are writing about her now.? Have a good Sunday everyone and this is very enjoyable.
