<You also can't forget at the end (actually after the show has ended) when Iago says 'I'm tired. Maybe I'll head over to the Hall of Presidents for a good nap.'

On the face, it's funny. It made me LOL the first time I heard it.

But underneath there's a 'tude of 'those are stodgy old attractions for a slower, simpler era ... we're hip and we know what the audience wants.'
<

agreed completely, and the irony is that Iago was hip for a few years at best, and now is outdated himself.

I think those are funny, and it's ok because it's Disney making fun of itself, what's not funny or ok is when those people who made the Smuck (shreck) movies make fun of Disney.

Or,

At least with Shrek it wasn't Disney's own, currently employed, ""artists"" who were doing it.

>> Can anyone here who isn't a Disney 'insider' name a musician, Imagineer, exec who will be regarded that way a decade or two from now? <<

I think Joe Rhode has the potential to achieve that kind of status. Only his future products, with the proper budget, will decide that.

It says the song will be sung by 'the' Canadian Idol. I wonder which one? This year's Idol won't be crowned until mid-Sept so that's not likely. I'm hoping upon hope they've chosen our best Idol ever, from Season 2, Kalan Porter. He's a fabulous singer and would do justice to any song representing Canada. http://www.myspace.com/kalanpo
