***so 12 attractions in the park matters not***

Cool. Maybe the next park could have only 5 attractions, since it doesn't matter.

Wha?

I don't see it the same way as you. It is more like a significant land. The reality is there are more attractions that take longer to enjoy than DLP.

The park is the size of Frontierland and Adventureland if even. Those two lands have 12 attractions too. Now, of those, Phantom Manor, PotC, BTM, The Chapperelle Stage and Indy are quality. But the others are largely forgettable. At WDSP, with the exception of the spinners, all of the attractions at WDSP are super quality.

Yes, WDSP has lot's of room for improvement, no doubt, but to me quality over quantity is key, hence why I would rather be at DLR or DLPR than WDW.

Mr. X, I was a doubter, I had 1 day to explore both DL and WDSP and figured I'd check out WDSP for an hour or two and then spend the majority of the day at DLP, well after Crush, Cinemagique, Rock N Roller Coaster x3 (had to hear all 3 soundtracks) Armageddon, some streetsmosphere, and Lights, Motors, Action, well the day was half over.

WDSP is a great park and with the addition of Stitch and ToT is becoming even greater. It does have its faults, but Disney is making an effort to improve it, rumors have them adding Playhouse Disney to appease the youngsters in the upcoming months. So knock it all you want, but some of us actually enjoy it...

Quite frankly for me, Cinemagique is worth 50 bucks by itself...

BTW, I went to DLRP in November when crowds were non existant, no ride had over a 10 minute wait in either park.

When I first visited the Studios I felt dissapointed but over the years I have grown to apreciate just how much of a great little park it has become. Is it perfect, of couse not but it still has a lot of attractions that make our little Studio park worth a visit.

Cinemagiqie is the best movie based attraction at any theme park today. Its an incredible film and displays so many emotions, on so many differnt levels and its hard to not shed a tear every time Tara's Theme from Gone With The Wind is played during the final segmat.

Crush, Rock N Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror are fun thrill rides which are not to be missed and are actually better than any of the coasters found next door at DLP, with the exception of Big Thunder Mountain. Space Mountain Mission 2 is a shell of what this attraction originally was, and Indy is lame.

My problem with WDSP is not the lack of attractions but the lack of beauty compared to other Disney parks. In all basics the grounds have no water features(the umbrella with water just doesn't cut it), vegetation, good looking landscaping, marvelous architecture or grand interesting props. The place is an ocean of asphalt and concrete relatively speaking--- just a barren wasteland, again when matched up against any other Disney park.

But WDSP has charm like the neon lighted multi colored indoor entry/"main street" if you will and some very high quality attractions: Motors Car stunt show, Cinemagic, Crush, ToT and Rock 'n' Roller. The tram tour and Armageddon are worth a look too.

I will definitely be back for some more.

Me too (thought Dave will probably return and tell me I have no clue...but again I've seen the pictures of the place and it's as obviously barren as Hong Kong is obviously nicely done landscaping-wise).

There's an idea. Somehow morph the Studios with Hong Kong Disneyland and PRESTO...you've got a fantastic park! :D

<Koobar, have you been to DLP before?>

yes, it will be my first visit to DLP and yes, crush is on the 'must see' list and my elbows will be ready to attack when the ropes drop.

OH you bet!

Because Hong Kong has an amazing backdrop--- the best of any park I say--- and it is quite lush in many parts.

WDS is certainly NOT the 2nd best european themepark. Europa Park, Phantasialand or Port Aventura are 1000 times better than the DLRP second gate!
All times are Pacific Time (US)
